Good hotel! This is a really good hotel with big rooms, nice communal areas and large car park. The bath and shower rooms are the best I've seen anywhere! Beds, linen and towels are all very good. It's easy to find and within walking distance of a few places to eat (but not much else). Breakfast is very limited and you wouldn't say the hotel has much 'personality', but the staff are typically polite and efficient. I'd stay here every time.

Quiet and sofisticatedI know the MITO city very well since I was born in the city, The Mito Plaza hotel is operated by the very old company that had been in business in this ciry for more than 230years. This fact appears in floors of the hotel as quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. Although the locations is some miles far away from the station and central area of the city, I strongly recommend to have an experience to stay here. It's nice.

Lovely hotel in the Grand Hotel traditionWe fell in love with this hotel's old world charm in the European tradition. The hotel has real character and is beautifully equipped and maintained. Set in a park, with a variety of nicely furnished public rooms including a vast atrium which nonetheless manages to stay cozy through the clever placement of trees and shrubs. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are luxurious with double wash basins and a large separate shower area. Everything is very clean and the staff is charming and helpful in every way. We felt very much at home and can only recommend this beautiful property.

Beautiful HotelBeautiful, sophisticated hotel! Highly recommend this establishment. The rooms are large and comfortable. Set in a serene location away from the traffic of the city. There are plenty of food options onsite. Would stay again

Top choice during COVID and other timesWe were going back home from Miyakojima in Okinawa prefecture through Narita first week of August and had to wait for a connecting flight. With three spare days, we decided to pick a place further away from Tokyo which we considered safer during COVID. It was a pleasant 2 hour drive going through many rice paddies and a long sea coast to reach the hotel driving from Narita. Obviously there weren't many guests in this big hotel during this period but I was glad that basically all services were still up and running with only some minor modifications (like Japanese dinner was only served in the western restaurant). Food was excellent here, both western and Japanese. We kept coming back to the restaurant for dinner and for lunch and ended up having all our meals there! We have a lot of confidence with the hotel's COVID protocols and would rather stay in and enjoy the hotel as much as possible anyway. We love this hotel. It offers a personal touch. The staff and general manager Yamaguchi-san (who had previously worked in many world renowned luxury hotel chains) really looked after us during our stay. I would recommend anyone to come stay here anytime.
