  A pesar de que fui por trabajo el hotel y la ciudad me hicieron sentir de vacaciones, su decoración es hermosamente original con tallados de madera y losas con decoraciones originales. La gente de recepción fue muy amable, ya que me pedían una tarjeta de crédito para hacer check in y no tenía ninguna, por lo que hicieron una excepción y me dejaron hacer check in con mi tarjeta de crédito. La alberca techada invitaba a nadar, está a tan solo una rica caminada de el centro comercial Palace Mall y peligrosamente cerca del Ruby Tuesday! ideal!

  Disappointing

  The room smelled extremely musty, huge crack in the shower wall crusted with mold??? and condoms in the drawer that my kids found. The sink was also outside of the shower/toilet area and completely open to the room, so if you had to go to the bathroom during the night washing your hands was much more disruptive.

  Worst hotel I've ever stayed at!

  I am not sure if there is an old part of this hotel. The reviews seem to reflect a good hotel. That is NOT what I experienced. I paid via mobile so zero refund. The front desk was rude and rolled her eyes at me a couple times. (Just because I made the reservation and it wasn't in the system yet!) She told me I had to wait 15 mins for the reservation. Fine. (Even though the email said my room was all set come and get the keys) I got the keys and went to use the key, nope first one didn't work. The second one worked, I opened the door and it smelled AWFUL! I thought it was an old air freshener. Ugh. Well, after driving 22 hrs we just crashed smell and all. The next day when we woke up....wow...what a nightmare!!!!! The beds were so bad it was hard to move, I go in the bathroom to take a shower and it was musty and smelly. I took my shower,(against my better judgement), and when I went to dry my face the towel had hair all over it!!!! I wanted to literally puke! Then I went to grab another one and I looked up....that musty smell...yeah, it was BLACK MOLD! I have pics! I dried off and hurried up outta there because I already have severe lung issues. I went to hurry up and throw on clothes when I looked and saw....omg, they just flipped the bed sheet! It was on inside out!! I am not sure if the front desk has a crap room for people they don't like or what! When leaving I was going to talk to a manager, but the girl completely dismissed me and went to the next customer. I have read the other reviews and it seems others have experienced this. It is the rooms not the suites. With covid and the "germ mentality", this hotel is a zero! I am going to quarantine myself from my family it was that bad! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

  Best place hands down!

  From the friendly staff, the heated pool and hot tub with the chemicals not burning me. It was great! The night staff lady was so nice and pleasant our room was terrific! This is like our 15th stay at the hotel and I would pick this hotel out of everywhere in SD!!

  Room needs updating before I'd return

  Recently took a road trip across South Dakota, and stayed here 1 night. The location is perfect! Very near I-90, and multiple stores, restaurants and walmart. Upon check in the staff was friendly, wore a mask and had plexiglass on the counter. However, I did notice a bit of a musty smell, but thought maybe it was just due to pool/spa area being just off the front desk. During this covid time, they did not offer any sort of 'to go' foods for breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink was just off the bedroom area, outside of the toilet/shower bathroom. The hotel room needs some renovation however. The heating/air unit was loud and constantly ran. Perhaps we just had a bad room, but the wallpaper was peeling in the corners/near the ceiling. I opened the curtains in the morning and noticed the sill of the window was black. I took a tissue to it, and it appeared to be black mold (that explains why the room also had a 'musty' smell to it). I understand this hotel is older, however I don't think it is in need a major reno, but there are small things that staff/maintenance could do that would make a big difference in the impression it leaves travelers. I would not return to this location unless some improvements took place, and at this point wouldn't recommend to friends.
