  Our experience at the Mist hotel in Ehden Lebanon

  I live in Canada and I had been to many 4 and 5-stars hotels in Canada, the states and Europe. I went to Lebanon on Dec 27, 2019 planning to spend New Years Eve at the Mist hotel in Ehden, Lebanon. A hotel that was suppose to be the best in that area. The family I went with to the Mist told me that they were there during summer 2019 and they had great time, plus the service was good. We booked early December 2019 a chalet at the Mist. We went on Dec 30, 2019 and we were supposed to stay until Jan 3, 2020. Upon our arrival, the staff at the reception was acceptable, we were given the keys to the chalet that was part the hotel. But not attached to it. The chalet was frozen cold given that the area is ~ 5800 feet above the sea. No heat was on, no carpet and a frozen ceramic floor. We were 3 adults, a 2 years old girl and a dog. The chalet wasnt pre-heated in advance as it was supposed to be. The staff, who brought our luggage in, lit the fireplace and put the heat on saying that it was going to take around 1 hour to heat the place well. We kept our boots and winter clothing on while waiting. After 3 hours and multiple calls to the reception concerning the burning smell coming from the fireplace and the freezing cold place that wasnt warming up, we went to the reception and asked for a solution because there was no way we were going to be able to stay the night in that chalet because we were going to get sick from either the cold or the burning smell coming from the fireplace. The reception staff and the manager were not able to accommodate us with another location that night while waiting to fix the chalet. We ended up leaving that night, we drove 3 hours to get up there and 3 hours to get back home to beirut with a 2 year old child who kept crying and was very irritated all the way back home. We were very disappointed given that this hotel was supposed to be a 5-star hotel. They did not offering us any other alternative keeping in mind the weather condition and the fact that we had a young child with us and driving back was going to be very hard to achieve. To note that the chalet wasnt very well equipped as if nobody was in it for months. I am not sure how is it in the summer but I definitely dont recommend it to anybody during winter time. The staff wasnt very professional, the amenities and service were poor. We ended up spending New Years Eve at home giving the fact that it was hard to reserve anywhere else last minute. We could have ended up being very sick if we stayed that night at that place. We had a lucky escape.

  Ehden on Earth

  Its literally Ehden on Earth, absolutely classy gorgeous beautiful establishment found in the mountains in north Lebanon From the moment I got there the views were breathtaking the snow mountains blue skys and that moment you walk in to such a gorgeous modern stylish hotel the reception was overwhelming welcoming and helpful then the suits are spacious modern warm and lived up to every expectation and more the restaurants amazing the food authentic and tasteful staff amazing then the pool spa sauna out of this world swimming in an indoor poor watching over the beautiful snow mountains I can go on and on 5 stars from me and special mention to Stephanie Eter Thankyou for making our stay special

  Beautiful Hotel

  the hotel itself is beautiful , the views are amazing , the rooms are great and spacious , couldn't have asked for more , the waiters are very friendly , management not the best as I faced a tiny issue over the phone with them , and not one person opened the subject up upon arrival ... but all in all highly recommended ...

  A must visit hotel

  Luxury, cleanliness, great views, wonderful location, friendly and professional staff... This is mist hotel, I highly recommend it for couples, for friends and families, since everyone can really enjoy it.

  Great family hotel

  Spent a few nights earlier this moth with my family in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic. Everything was done to keep people safe while allowing to enjoy the hotel's facilities and surroundings. The region is beautiful and the hotel is a great starting point.
