  Lovely host

  The host came out to meet us at 11pm in the snow. The b and b is very close to the station. It is basic but clean and rooms are large. You can rent bikes from the owner for 1000 yen. The surrounding area is very scenic.

  It's a shack

  + Close to JR railway station (5-10min walk) + Cheapest place in town (however still much too overpriced for what it is) + Quite good WiFi However: - Unbeliebably dirty, to the point where you try to avoid touching anything - Terrible urine smell across the house - Completly run down This place has last seen any attempt to clean up many many years ago. Go here as a very last resort only, only if the alternative is sleeping on the street. In winter.

  Just a small hostel with messy things around

  All places were messy, no staff support to understand about facilities present at hotels. Even you cant find anyone if you have any questions. If you want to just stay for a night could be ok but not recommended for family travelers. If you compare this hostel with its price then ok-ok. Near to railway station

  Cheapest place in town

  My wife and I stayed three nights here in February 2018 and would stay here again. The rooms are basic and clean. I don't recommend breakfast as you can get better at a convenience store. Hot water is way hot. No toilets in rooms, but down the hall. Toilets are Western. Downstairs toilet has a washlet, whereas upstairs toilet only has a heated seat. Both are nice in winter. No meals served, but has a microwave in the common room. Parking for four or five cars. We parked. Close to Abashiri station. Owners speak little to no English, and are friendly. If you book through TripAdvisor the price ic lower than the 2800 yen a person walking rate. Visited 2/17-2/20, 2018.

  An unexpected delight.

  It doesn't look attractive on the outside and it's cluttered inside, but I still enjoyed my stay here. It is run by a delightfully eccentric family, whose warmth makes up for their lack of English. The breakfast is a home-baked fruit bread roll with milk. Rooms are traditional tatami with futon and bathrooms are shared. The JR station is less than ten minutes walk away by a short cut across the tracks. It is convenient for the station but the main attractions are some distance away.
