    Amazing hotel

This hotel is really great. The service is super, and they are there to serve you. I had mistakenly just added 2 adults and 2 children in the reservation(we have 3) and this was handled perfectly- no problem - just added a bed to the room. No discussion or anything. Really great service. The rooms are great and the breakfast is greater. And the 5 course dinner experience are worth it. Would really recommend this hotel for skiing. (Just approximately 50 meters from the slopes

High expectations and definitely not disappointed! Superb!

Die Sportalm Gourmethotel is a family run hotel, and the Mingler family and their staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, and they were all so friendly and very competent. The hotel is beautifully furnished in a modern traditional boutique style, very chic, everything in its place and squeeky clean. The hotel felt homely and welcoming, but a lot of thought had gone into the interior design, furnishings and layout. Our nicely furnished room had a balcony that overlooked the slopes, the bed was super-comfy, there was a useful sitting area with a lounger that probably would convert into a childs bed, the windows had black-out blinds and there was no noise or disturbance. The shower-room was well set-out and equipped, and there was plenty of hanging room and storage space in the vestibule. There was a spacious, warm ski room attached to the hotel. To reach the slope was a short uphill walk of about 50 yards, then a pleasant run down a blue piste to reach the main Fleckalmbahn ski lift and also the ski school. Note pistes 25 + 26 are the slopes that take you down from the top of the Fleckalmbahn to the hotel. Although blue pistes, they are quite challenging in places for novice and cautious skiers, who might prefer to get the lift down. There was also a swimming pool and spa area in the hotel to relax aching muscles at the end of the day. However, the highlight of our stay has got to be the food. Each evening we were treated to a superb six course gourmet feast. Homemade bread, salad bar, starter, soup, choice of mains, cheese and dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented so beautifully that it seemed a shame to eat it sometimes! The only choice was the mains which were meat, fish or vegetarian, and we were asked to choose at breakfast what we would like. Meant we could spend most of the day drooling over the thought of what we were going to eat that night. Breakfast was an extensive self-service buffet, with everything you could want. Everything was plentiful, fresh, and so appealingly laid out. Just enough to keep us going until the ski-tea when we got in in the afternoon. We would definitely come back to this hotel, it was truly special.

    2nd Visit - Fantastic Hotel

Our second visit to the Sportalm. A wonderful small family-run hotel in a superb location on the edge of Kirchberg ideally located for skiers next to the Fleckalmbahn gondola. We stayed in the new rooms located on the same floor as the new pool. The rooms are furnished in alpine-chic style, are comfortable and spacious with views to the north. We used the pool several times following skiing enjoying the warm water and relaxing setting. Even though it was Carnival week, the spa facilities were not crowded. The highlight of the hotel is the food - wow! Every evening meal was a culinary experience and one of the best we have experienced in the last 10 years in the alps - the chef is amazing. In summary, delicious food, attentive and friendly staff, an elegant new spa area and owners who clearly care about the well-being of their guests. Highly recommended.

A Great Choice for the Kitzbuhel Alps

A small family run hotel that is undergoing continual improvements. We stayed one week. The food was superb - particularly the supper with meat so tender it melted in your mouth. The range of unusual flavors of ice cream made every dessert a "sweet" experience. Our room was large with new wooden floors, a large balcony and view to the mountains, recently renovated bathroom (we like the shower), and a very comfortable bed. The only downside was the poor internet connection during the late afternoon/evening. The hotel is about 100 m from the piste that takes you down to the Fleckalmbahn - a short uphill walk to start the day and an enjoyable ski out at the end of the day! Lift tickets can be purchased in the hotel. Also a short walk to Kirchberg and the cross-country ski trails along the valley. We plan to return next year to try out the new rooms.
