    What a view....

Travelled during winter with family (2 kids). Corner family room provides a very good mountain views. Heater in the room helped us during a cold windy snowy night. Restaurant have provided good variety of meals and taste delicious. Snow activities are plenty with affordable prices. Don't forget to try the onsen, nice experience. Shuttle bus to station is really helpful. Only missed out is there's no in-room wifi, please be prepared of your own cellphone signal.

    always a nice experience

Stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time. It seems to improve every time we come, and we appreciate the attention to details. For example, we like that the Cloak counter (where you can have your luggage stored until the room is available for check-in) was on the Lobby floor this year, instead of downstairs in the Ski Center. It made it much easier with the suitcases, and we used it for the first time. The activities desk & ski school counter moving down to the Ski Rental/Locker area this year, was also good. It made it easy to make all of our arrangements each morning. We really appreciate how the hotel converted to non-smoking in December 2017. It makes our stay much more enjoyable, as we no longer have smoke smell in the elevator halls and ski center. We also noticed the ski boots and ski mobile were new. We always enjoy these activities, and appreciate the new equipment. The ski wear however, seem to be getting quite worn out. We have been given the same ones each year, and notice it getting more and more faded and tattered each time. The bathrooms by the indoor onsen and restaurant are also quite old, and sometimes smell unpleasant. There was a problem with one of the toilets (it was being repaired) on the Ladies' side, and the wait to use it was long at times. A mother in front of me in line ended up sending her young daughter into the men's room because her daughter had just come back from ski class and had to go very badly. The heater was a little too warm in the 11th floor table tennis area. The snow activities were enjoyable as always, and the condition of the slopes were good for mid-March. We even had some light snowfall. The food at the restaurant is always good, and we didn't mind eating the buffet for 3 meals during our 3 night stay. We always enjoy our stay here, and having the shuttle from the station makes it very easy to visit. We look forward to our next trip to Minakami Kougen.

    A very family oriented resort

The resort was very kids friendly with alot of kids amenities available for toddlers and even babies. They have plenty of snow activities for the family and their slopes were very gentle for beginners esp for young children. The ski school located at the ski centre was kind enough to assign a Chinese speaking coach for my child and the coach was really good and patient. Within a day, my 5yo was able to hit the slope. The only downside was the lack of understanding towards lactating mothers. I went without my baby hence I wanted to borrow their freezer to freeze my breastmilk, but the conceige manager wasn't the friendliest, kept rejecting my request despite us calling before arriving at the hotel. We were lucky to have met with 3 Chinese ladies (I could only get hold of 2 names and ) who were doing their internship with them. They helped me to bring the breastmilk to freeze in their Hostel and even brought up to my room on my day of departure despite being on off day. This is really going the extra mile for the guests ! Grateful to have met them!

beautiful resort and outdoor onsen, great food and ski lessons

Great stay at this resort - I learned to ski along with my two daughters in elementary school. We did a full day lesson and the instructors were fantastic. We parked our van and took the shuttle from the Jomo Kogen shinkansen station. The drive up to the resort was quite beautiful. The room had a really nice view of the mountains and the outdoor onsen was beautiful. The buffet dinner and breakfast were great; there is also an a la carte ramen restaurant.

    OK Place in Mountain

This hotel is up on a mountain. Skiing in the winter and golf otherwise. Very nice place, fresh air and fun. The hotel has lots of nice things for kinds to do, family friendly staff and policies. The building is rather old though. Nicely maintained, small but clean room. The indoor hotspring was not so nice. The outside one is pretty good. 1st floor restaurant was nice, buffet breakfast and dinner. Serves lunch too. The top floor restaurant didn't feel that comfortable to us, although I guess people like to view. Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 was fun, but line-ups for elevators were painful at times. Also when we arrive the dinner time presented to us was 19:30. The clerk asked us if that was OK, but when I said no there was no other option, so he asked us if that was OK again, which I replied no, but there was no option. So why ask us if it is OK? 19:30 is late for children. We were even there at check-in time so not sure why there was such a late option only. When in the area I suggest visiting Takaragawa Onsen. Really nice onsen experience.
