Good Hotel only issues was on leaving!!

My husband has already done a review which praised the staff and hotel. Maybe should have waited until home. We had no issues with our stay, the staff were awesome and deserve a lot of the credit for making this hotel what it is and the great reviews. When it was time to leave, I hired a kettle as Im a tea Jenny so I went up the stairs to check out whilst he used the lift. Upon arriving Alan said we still owed 30 Euros for sundries! I questioned this and then my Husband took over. He asked Alan what it was for and he could not say at first so he got one of the family members who owns the hotel to come up! She said it was for flowers!! Well firstly upon arrival we thought it was a nice touch with fruit and a bottle of wine and flowers. Secondly the wife is not a lover of flowers and thirdly the absorb the oxygen. On checking the computer the lady found that another couple with the same name had ordered them. So after 15 minutes she said the bill was sorted but sadly thats where it stopped . No apology or nothing. So that put a downer on my husband after leaving such a great review.

    Relaxing

I think the best thing about this hotel is its location. Although very quiet, its accessibility to other towns is great. Local buses to Ayia Napa and Protaras, its also within walking distance of Fig Tree Bay, you can hire a car very easily too. The staff were generally friendly, Christilla and Georgia were lovely. We were met by Neil late at night and he was very friendly. We were a little worried when we asked at reception one day about the time of our pick up and were met with 'I have no idea' and a shrug of the shoulders. Little did we know that the information for this was right next to the reception! The building that has been renovated is lovely, hopefully the rest will follow. Our room faced the pool and it was quiet but needed a refurb really, the beds were quite hard but it was ok for the week we were there. Breakfast was fine, lunch was the best but dinner was not to our taste, there was not a lot of choice. There is a lovely restaurant just down the road called Kafkaros, it worth a ten minute walk. We found the hotel a little cliquey, lots of regular visitors who know each other and at times we felt uncomfortable. There is only a small beach and locals come by to use it. Lots of other beaches around that are better and quieter. Overall we had a relaxing stay but we went out quite a lot. Cyprus has more to offer than one little beach!

    A Wonderful Hotel

This is a wonderfully inclusive hotel. Couples, singles, disabled - mostly appealing to an older clientele but you can understand why when you arrive at the location. Whatever age people were, it made no difference, most were in the sea virtually every day, as were we. The pool was cold so virtually unused, but the cove was fabulous and people were swimming at 6.a.m., midnight,at all times of the day as it was so attractive and safe. We had a beautiful suite overlooking the sea, and it was kept spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Christalla at breakfast and Alan on reception. This is a 3 star hotel and not as expensive as we usually book. The food was predictably slightly different, in that there was not as much choice as we usually have.Desserts were uninteresting and were virtually the same every night. However it is a family run hotel, they have overheads and they obviously want to cut down on waste. The salads were lovely though as was the soup and breakfast. We were in a room above the entertainment which was loud and long (one night till 12.10). It was not to our taste but only twice per week did it affect us. We will just take good ear plugs next time! The location of the hotel was perfect for us, being virtually on the beach with rocky outcrops to either side. The gardens were well kept .No need to hire sun loungers on the public beach here. Husband headed straight for Cyclops Cave one way and then we all went the short distance along an uneven path to Green Bay, the Cavo Maris Hotel beach and then yet another cove. We swam in all of them! You probably need light shoes rather than flip flops to hop around the rocks. The rocks never stopped the friendly ice cream man in his van though!! We walked to Protaras but the bus only costs 1 Euro 50. It was predictably busy and hot. I was disappointed with Fig Tree Bay. It just didn't look that special to me. We went on Aphrodite cruise for 10 Euros (bargain) . For 2.50 they also pick up from your hotel ..Also went with The Original Red Bus all day tour to Famagusta. A great day with lots of interesting sights and information. All in all a fabulous October break with good weather and good conversations with the many repeat guests. We also made friends with the cats around the hotel and hope that when the hotel closes for the winter, someone takes care of them. I very much hope that we return one day..

    Family summer holiday

We stayed at this hotel between the 18 July 2019 and 1st August 2019 and overall enjoyed the experience. I have summarised the positive and negatives of this hotel below: Positives: - Lovely location by the sea with nice little beach and crystal clear water. Liked the grassy area as an alternative to the pool area - Pool small but never overcrowded and plenty of sun beds (although usual sun bed reserving early in the morning required) - Rooms were modern where we stayed in main hotel building with nice enough limited sea view and balcony spacious and private - Rooms cleaned and fresh towels provided on a daily basis - Staff were generally friendly with a few exceptions - Supermarkets within reasonable walking distance for us - Bar service good in the main albeit a bit slow at times - Lunch menu good option if you wanted to swap evening which we did on a number of occasions Negatives: - Breakfast ok but lack of variety each day, not enough choice of fruit, lemons were on the menu on several occasions?? - Evening meal below average and lack of variety and only really enjoyed one meal which was the greek night. Poor choice for children. Seemed to be scrimping on the quality to save cost here if you ask me - Beach, car park, and pool bar very busy with locals on a weekend taking sun beds etc. Staff seemed to actively encourage this, for their friends & relatives probably - Entertainment non existent - Drinks expensive All in all great holiday and my only real big gripe was the food, where the hotel need to improve drastically to ensure people are more likely to make a return visit

    Everything ok, except the food

Stayed at the hotel 4 days from november 4th. If you want a small hotel with nice, clean rooms(renovated), near the sea and a cosy outdoor area, this is the hotel for you. The pool is ok, when it´s warmed by the sun. From November most people would think the outdoor area from 15.30 is also too cold. The sun disappears. The bathroom is excellent, everything is renovated ,good new towels. Some would prefer a bit larger room. Nice beds, but only a single thin sheet for two persons! Serviceminded staff. But I wouldn´t recommend this hotel if the food is important for you.Very little variety and mostly tasteless. Allthough our group had paid a packet which included dinner (and lunch), many went to nearby restaurants to eat. If the owners could do something concerning the kitchen and the food, this hotel would be a gem(maybe 4 stars).
