  Fawlty Towers

  Stayed here for a two night break for my 40th with my partner. On our arrival our room was tiny, dated and overlooked what we now know to be a sexual health hospital. Included in our stay was a meal on the first night! The legs of some chairs were held together by duck tape, many people got the wrong order and service was extremely poor. The manager was arrogant and spoke to us like we were idiots! Breakfast however gave a great choice and to be honest I couldn't fault it. The pool etc were ok and we used it for a while but its also a place where people can join from the area so it wasn't long in filling up. It comes across as a place that caters more for workmen contracting away from home. Wouldn't recommend as a romantic break and if you struggle with hills its a definite no. Steps up are steep and handrail is definitely wobbly.

  Friendly and hospitable

  Upon check into Milton Hilltop Hotel, we were offered help with our oversized luggage as there were no lifts that catered to our section. The decor was dated but it is worth noting they seem to be in the midst of redecorating parts of the hotel. The shower of our friends staying in the room next door was broken so they used ours... While the hotel offered a choice of food at their restaurant, we chose to roll down the hill, Asda supermarket in 7minutes and Pizza Hut 2minutes from the hotel. Overall not a bad place to stay.

  great christmas break

  superb hotel to stay in during christmas, wonderful food, staff and facilities . would stay here again and again. great entertainment. hotel was just outside the town but the facilities in the hotel meant you didnt have to leave it. gym was very good.

  more like Hilton than milton

  Given that the Hotel is undergoing a full refubishment and not finsihed it looks and feels alot nicer than what it used to be, the staff were very helpul and polite couldnt do enough to help myself and my husband. the leisure facilities were such a nice treat and the food was beautiful. after reading some of the reviews i was in two minds about staying here again but im glad i did. ideally situated near town has transport route near too. So grateful to the staff for making my short stay as comfortable as possible.
