  Le falta algo

  Me alojé en el hotel porque el Hilton estaba lleno. El hotel está situado en las afueras de Reading, aunque justo al lado de una parada de autobús que te lleva al centro en 10 minutos. El personal es muy atento y simpático. Dispone de wifi gratuito para los clientes. Las habitaciones están bien, aunque se empieza a notar el paso de los años por las instalaciones. La cama es cómoda. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones en general están limpias. El desayuno es variado, aunque los croissants, por ejemplo, son una bomba de mantequilla. La fruta no es nada del otro mundo y los zumos son insípidos. Resumiendo, el hotel no está mal, pero existen mejores y más modernas alternativas en los alrededores del hotel.

  Sorprendete para ser un hotel fuera de España

  Hasta la fecha, el mejor hotel de negocios (a un precio adecuado) en el que he estado fuera de España. El personal muy atento, y algunos hablan castellano. La habitación tiene su encanto pues tienes cosas que hechas de menos en otros hoteles como plancha para la ropa y pantalones, servicio de café e infusiones, amenities razonables, 3 o 4 revistas gratuitas, wifi gratis y servicio de pago de películas. La habitación era confortable,.... pero pasé mucho frío porque el aire acondicionado solo se pone cuando entras en la habitación, una pena. La carta de comida en el café esta bien. No me gustó que te hacen un cargo en la visa de 80 GBP que luego te devuelven si no haces consumos. Igual es la costumbre local, pero es la primera vez que veo eso en un hotel Y lo que más impresiona del hotel son las salas de reuniones que tienen en el centro de convenciones (no sé si son del hotel) que dan al campo de fútbol de un equipo de la segunda inglesa con mucho encanto. Por cierto, la empresa que da el catering sencillamente ESPECTACULAR. Desde el vino (españoles, argentinos) hasta los platos de alta cocina. Jamás hubiera pensado que iba a comer tan bien en Inglaterra.

  Disappointing

  To start with, no acknowledgment of being a member of the hotel and no explanation of WiFi, although check-in was fairly quick (hotel was not busy anyway) and receptionist was polite enough. Room appeared to be clean however when I wiped the bathtub, it showed dirt. Reported to reception and was offered to change room, I declined because I had just cleaned the bath and was not prepared to clean another room! Room was very cold. I tried to adjust the air con temperature but the buttons did not work. TWO HOURS later it was still the same - cold air constantly blowing out and with loud noises and the control panel was just blank when I tried to press on/off and up/down buttons, so I called reception, we then agreed that reception to send someone up to check. (covid19) A lady came to the door and I explained to her that the room was cold and the vent was simply blowing cold air and I already tried the buttons on the control panel but nothing worked. She came in and saw there was nothing on the control panel & WITHOUT CHECKING FURTHER she told me straight away that it was off but I had to explain again that it was not off, it was simply NOT WORKING at all as I had been trying since I got into the room at least 2 hours ago, but then she said to give it time and I had to explain AGAIN that it had been blowing cold air for over 2 hours and the control panel did not work at all AND THE FACT that there was this loud noise from the vent! So, she decided to tell me that the noise was from the vent in the corridor outside my room and that it would stop at around 11pm(!), she reassured me that the air con inside my room was definitely off (as if I was just imagining things) but the noise was just coming from the outside, i.e., the corridor. I was not happy about it (I felt as if she thought I was lying) but it was getting late so I accepted the offer of a mobile heater which was soon delivered to me. I did appreciate having the small heater but the temperature control was broken! The cold air AND the noise from the air con did not stop! When I returned the second night, the vent was still making loud noise AND blowing cold air; firstly - I felt the cold air constantly in my head whilst sitting at the desk working and, secondly - I put pieces of paper next to the vent and it was clearly blowing air out when the control panel showed nothing. I ended up having such headache because of it AND the continued noise. I just had had enough of the constant cold air and the noise, I then asked to change room but all of the sudden the hotel had no other room for me to swap to! I actually had to prove to another hotel staff that the air con in the room was in fact broken! It took A LOT of effort to prove to the hotel that the air con was broken - eventually the person who came to check the air co did agree that it was broken as I had to insist that she stood on the chair & put her hand next to the vent to feel the cold air so to show her that I was not lying! AND I had to wait for ages to finally given another room! I was just exhausted by the time I swapped to another room! What a waste of time! Other things: some TV channel names did not match the names on display so unable to watch the channels I wanted. Floor tile was coming off. Also, had to wait until check-out to have the invoice although payment had already been taken! Another time wasting exercise. During my two nights stay I had one breakfast. I could not believe that they had the audacity to change me for the one breakfast after the very bad experience I had. Extremely disappointing.

  Hotel muy bueno y buen ubicado. Altamente recomendable. El único problema es que la cama era King size y un lado estaba más hundido que el otro y la almohada era un poco dura. El resto muy bien. Buena opción

  El hotel es cómodo, la comida aceptable, el personal del service Romo es poco atento, el internet es algo nefasto que se desconecta a cada momento, la oferta de canales de cables disponible esta limitada a canales locales, sin ningún atractivo para las personas de otros países que visitan el hotel. En realidad hay mejores opciones para tener en cuenta antes de venir a este hotel. Lo único bueno es que tiene un acceso exclusivo al estadium
