Great environment one step away from the water sports.

Being regularly in hotels, I guess a good staff can make the difference and that's the case of this hotel. People who work there are very kind, ready to serve and they pay attention to everything you say. I've been very well treated and everything went so well. Besides that, they are one step away from the beach, just beside the water sports center. There's also a very nice pool. Food is not the specialty around here, but anything they serve is homemade and very tasteful, and we can eat by the pool bar, which is very nice. Rooms are just fair enough. It's big, there's even a small balcony. A nice bed, but the linen could be less rough, even considering its a beach hotel. Bathroom is just fine, but the shower could be more powerful. Anyway, the place is very good in its overall.

Great family hotel, especially for young children.

We stayed at the Mikri Vigla Hotel for 2 weeks with our 1-year-old son and had a wonderful time. We would definitely go back there. ROOMS - We stayed in the ground floor room. It was clean, with basic amenities (towels, hair dryer, safe deposit box, etc.) They provided us with a portable baby cot, just as we requested. It fit nicely in the corner of the room, just next to our bed. The only thing was that we got 2 single beds pushed together for a makeshift double bed, which wasn't much of a bother, but when making a reservation, make sure to ask if you're getting a double bed or 2 single beds. The rooms on the first floor typically have double beds. DINING - The daily breakfast buffet was average. The choices were limited and they don't change the options. If you're a picky eater, you're not going to be impressed. Otherwise, if you're just looking to fill up for that all-important first meal of the day, then you're in good hands. The hotel poolside bar and restaurant served average hotel fare, nothing much to shout about. But then again, you're surrounded by taverns and restaurant within walking distance that you'd be reluctant to stay at the hotel for all your meals. That said, try the "Dakos salad." Great stuff. SERVICE & STAFF - Both great. We had Tonya help us with our booking and made sure we were well looked after during our stay. The staff were nice and friendly, they kept out of your way. Bear in mind that this is a no-frills hotel, so don't expect room service. It's designed for its guests to get out of their rooms and enjoy the outdoors. LOCATION - Great if you're a heavy duty kite- and wind-surfer. Not so great if you're not. The beach is windy all year round which is great for these sports. Otherwise, you'd just have wind and the occasional bits of sand blowing in your face. If you're looking for spots to swim and to have a nice chill out on the sand, consider choosing another hotel. Otherwise, the pool is great. I spent quite a bit of time there with the baby, as did most of the non-surfing families. There's a good children's playground close to the pool, too. I didn't get a sense of a busy nightlife around Mikri Vigla, but I didn't miss it. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat around the beach, though. Also, lots of neighbouring villages and cities to visit as well. OTHER TIPS FOR PARENTS: - The hotel restaurant has high chairs for babies and toddlers, so for those of you who have them, it's great. - Not a lot of restaurants have high chairs/baby chairs, so be prepared to keep your little ones strapped to their strollers or on your laps. - Rent a car to get around and ask for a car seat. They'll provide you with good ones. - There's a supermarket very close to the hotel that carries a limited variety of baby food and formula, so if you're very particular about that, bring enough of your preferred ones with you from home. - Bring tons of sunscreen lotion for the little ones. Didn't see any at the supermarket. - HAVE FUN!

    Nice and peaceful

Really enjoyed our stay at Mikri Vigla Hotel. The room was really clean, with a great bathroom and waterpressure. The hotels swimming pool was really fun to goof around and order some drinks from the poolside bar, Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was a decent greek buffet breakfast that kept the hunger away for several hours. The beach is just a step away from the hotel area, excellent for Kitesurfing, windsurfing and snorkeling when it´s not too windy.

    Endlessly friendly reception

The two girls at the reception were so helpful I decided to create an account and write this review to thank them for their resourcefulness and friendly smile! Excellent hotel for water sports. Ask for a room with sea view.

    Total relaxation

Positioned on one of the most beautiful sea points of the island, this hotel built in the typical Greek style, offers every comfort: spacious rooms all equipped with a large terrace (there are even very comfortable strands for drying linen), bright and essential. I had chosen a room with a sea view: suggestive to see the sun set near my husband on the terrace! Private beach of tiny pebbles with umbrellas and deck chairs in front of the hotel: a rarity on the island. At the restaurant theme dinners are always provided but a first course of excellent Italian pasta has never been lacking. At the bar you can taste different types of cocktails but I recommend a good ouzo with ice as a digestive. The cove located a few steps from the structure (about 10 minutes walk) is worth a visit: a swim in the crystal clear (less cold) waters, slightly windy, equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds but for a fee (there is also a bar / tavern with typical cuisine). I have nothing more to add except that here relaxation is assured.
