  Muy acogedor

  Nos alojamos en el Hotel Mike en dos oportunidades durante nuestra estadía en la Isla de Creta. Regresamos porque realmente Sophie nos hizo sentir como en casa. La familia es muy acogedora. El restaurante tiene un ambiente muy simpático y la comida fue deliciosa, además de tener un sabor casero. La zona del bar en la parte más cercana a la playa es estupendo. Muy alegre. Con internet, una barra muy surtida y una piscina limpia y muy bien iluminada. Las habitaciones son amplias, con terraza. Los baños un poco estrechos, pero aceptables. Nos encantó alojarnos ahí.

  Fabulous, clean apartments, lovely pool and wonderful staff

  We stayed here in August, a family of 4 with 2 children (5) and (9). We had a superior apartment, with a large balcony and very clean and modern inside. The apartment complex is spotless. The rooms were cleaned daily and properly. To make the most of seeing Crete you do need to hire a car. We hired one from Gee Pa's near hotel, great service and easy. We got to see a lot of Crete by doing this. The pool bar is lovely serves great snacks and the pool area is wonderful. Lots of sunbeds and space. I would recommend for families. I can't believe that this is only 2 star, I can safely say this deserves far more recognition. Staff are friendly, helpful and really make you feel very welcome, we enjoyed our stay, thank you to the whole team.

  Fantastic Last Minute Break

  Due to Covid we waited until the last minute to book a week in the sun before our daughter went back to school and Im so glad we made that decision Mikes Hotel was spotless, we stayed in a Superior Apartment and for a 2Star hotel the apartment was better than most 4/5 Star hotels weve stayed in The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the snacks and salads at the bar were really good too Pool area was clean and there were enough beds so you didnt need to get up early to get a bed A couple of good restaurants near by too so all in all a lovely break

  Good experience

  My wife and I had originally booked a 21 night holiday at the Lotus hotel apartments in Kato Doritso on Crete due to depart in June. However, due to Covid 19 this was put back until 01/09/20. At the last minute TUI informed us that the accommdation had closed and we had been transferred to the Mike hotel apartments in Malame. Although we were a little apprehensive before we left home there was no reason to have been so as we had a fantastic holiday. The apartments were clean and functional. Towels were changed every couple of days and bedding twice a week. The managers Manos and Sophie,Alman, Anna,Tina and especially Maria were professional,efficent and friendly. The drinks and meals around the pool were reasonably priced. We ate at several restaurants during our holiday. Our favourites were the Black Lantern, Mythos and Waves. We also ate several times in the hotel and on one occasion ate in the Chinese restaurant in nearby Platanias. It was easy to travel around on the local buses. We went to Platanias and Agia Marina on a couple of occasions, Georgiopolis, Paleochora and Kolymbari. We also endured the Samaria gorge by way of an organized trip. The only downside was that a number of restaurants and shops were closing down during the last week of the holiday.The hotel was also closing down the day after we left. TUI also informed us just before we were due to come home that our flight had been cancelled and we would be flying home with Easyjet but we would be flying from Heraklion instead of Chania. This turned out to be a three and half hours coach transfer - a nightmare. We are still awaiting compulsory compensation under EU Regulations as TUI are playing silly buggers. Nevermind, at least we enjoyed the holiday.

  Excellent stay

  We had a great holiday Maleme staying at Mike Hotel. My partner and I stayed in the superior apartments and three other members of our party stayed in the standard apartments - the superior are far more modern and in particular have better bathroom facilities, however both apartments were large, clean and tidy, with free aircon in both. The pool and surrounding area is really nice, kept very clean and tidy - we saw member of staff clean around each sunbed area after people left. There seemed to be plenty of sunbeds for everyone, however this is hard to judge seeing as the hotel was quieter than usual due to Covid. Be aware that the area around the pool with sunbeds on is grass rather than tiles, stone etc.- not an issue at all, but I know some people might find it odd. It's actually less hot to walk across than tiles, less slippy and better for the environment, so no complaints here! We had breakfast included which was a good continental selection: cereal, bread, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, teas, coffees, juice etc. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy breakfast either inside or on the balcony, which could get very hot! Plenty of food, no queues or anything like that. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and adhered to Covid guidelines completely. Everyone was wearing facemasks, and areas were being disinfected as soon as people left. I'm not sure what else they could have done really, we felt very safe which was helped by the fact that the area was quieter than usual. Prices for drinks and food were reasonable. We ate dinner once at the hotel restaurant, food was nice enough but there are lots of excellent restaurants near by try. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back.
