  The photos are misleading

  After a long voyage to Lusaka I was looking forward to some sleep. Unfortunately I arrived at Mika Lodge and was assigned room #28. Besides not getting a key to the room it seemed like it had been months since anyone had stayed in there. The A/C didn't work and there was no access to bottled water. I'd suggest looking for another lodge in the area.

  Quiet and Convient place to stay

  The service is good and the staff are very friendly when I arrived. The place is small but it's convenient for shot business trips because of it's location. Not far from the three Major Malls ( 15-20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive away). The room is small but cozy. It still needs work done but at least they are making an effort to resolve the imperfections. The food is rather surprisingly good and Bar is well stocked with interesting cocktails. The place is good for small parties or gathering. The conference facilities are the only things that disappointing because they are small. All in all I had an interesting stay.

  Staff stole from my luggage

  Been there for two weeks during a business trip. Thieving staff stole from my luggage... facility needs renovation. Would not go into pool, night-time bar guests use it as a rubbish bin for cigarettes and bottle caps.. have submitted this same review on booking however it does not get posted as negative reviews are filtered out... so much for a "trusted" peer-reviewed site

  Quaint and Cosy

  This is a good hotel that is budget but customer friendly as well. The rooms are spacious and the food at the restaurant is good. Some slight repairs need to be done like broken shower heads, or towel racks in the bathroom, but an overall good and safe environment to stay for pleasure or for business. It is close to the airport and in a nice quiet neighbourhood. The hotel pub gets a big noisy at night due to the patrons, but nothing your room walls can't drown out. I enjoyed my stay here.

  Barely adequate

  We stayed in this hotel on a layover and were sorely disappointed. The indicator for us was that there was one worn and basically ragged towel in the room. The saving grace was a comfortable bed. We arrived late and asked if we could extend our check out. We had to pay for an extra 1/2 day to stay for 2 more hours. This is an old tired hotel not recommended.
