  Friendly family-run hotel

  Excellent family-run hotel. Dad is the boss; mum is the exceptional chef; and Koshala (the son) runs the day-to-day operations. We felt very welcomed here and the food really was amazing. The hotel is no more than a 20 minute drive from the main Anuradhupara heritage sites and a short walk from Mihintale temple (the place where Budhism was first established in Sri Lanka). It is therefore a great spot to spend a night or two if you want to check out Sri Lanka's ancient capital.

  The Best Place un Sri Lanka

  Miheen Hotel and Resort its a wonderfull paradise. The family Will be your family. They are amazing. I still have a necklace as present when we arrived. We felt like home. They prepare us the best and Big dinner in all our holidays. And in our bedroom. We had movies to watch on TV. Thank You allways. Allways in my mind from Spain.

  Nice staff, big and clean room

  The staff is SO nice and warm, they are willing to help you with everything. The room was clean and spaceous. They also helped us to get to sacred city in Mihintale wich is not that far away but we would have never found it ourselves. I wish we could have stayed longer. It is located in such peaceful area with nice surrounding. The breakfast was so delicious! Varius dishes: Fruits, pancakes, noodles, rice, diffrent sauces and more. I would recommend this place to everyone.

  A gem of place to stay in Mihintale with wonderful host family

  We recently stayed at Miheen Hotel for a night. It is a relatively new place and very well maintained by the family that owns it. On our arrival we were served a welcome drink by Koshala and got to meet his family including his parents and brother. The room was spotlessly clean along with fresh linen with an efficient AC. The bathroom was pretty nice with the latest bath fittings. We ordered Sri Lankan dinner of Rice & Curry which was good, and so was the next morning's breakfast. Koshala is a really sweet guy and goes out of his way to make you comfortable...always asking if we needed anything. At check-out time, the whole family came out to say goodbye to us, which was such a sweet gesture. We were really overwhelmed by the hospitality that we received from this family. More than anything, its the people running this place who make this property such a wonderful place to stay. If you plan to visit Mihintale during your SL trip, do stay overnight at Miheen Hotel and experience the warmth of Koshala and his family !!!

  The perfect place

  Everything was perfect ! The owner is very welcoming and nice ! The room was great with a good bed and hot water. The dîner was one of the best Rice & cury that we get in Sri Lanka, and the breakfast too !!! Thanks you for everything thing ! We Hope to coming back !
