  Clean, comfy value for money

  The midway is in a good central location to explore Ritorua. The rooms are standard however a bit dark and some furnishings are shabby. The rooms are clean with comfy beds, theres good wifi, its clean & safe. The staff are nice, the private hotpools are good after a busy day. Overall very good value for money and great for families or groups.

  Holiday home

  The Holiday home photos are totally different from the real home. The bedrooms looks untidy.. The kitchen and facilities looks untidy. The place is very uncomfortable to stay in as you can smell the fumes from the volcano... I have 3 children and both my parents who are seniors were really uncomfortable. The beds are uncomfortable.. We supposed to stay 2 nights and we decided to stay just one night coz its not a good place.

  Perfect!

  Family of four stayed here for two nights over New Years. The owners have been extremely friendly and really helpful at all times. The apartment is exactly what we wanted and the spa bath has been thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. The location is perfect. Couldnt ask for anything better. My son begged me to write this comment because he absolutely adored the apartment and the owners were so nice to him. Stay here! Even if its just so that extremely kind motel owners are positively reinforced.

  Oh..there are some precious travellers

  LOL..just read a review saying they could smell the sulphur in their room...doh..welcome to Rotorua. I am a guest from Australia. Great little motel. Great location. Spa bath very excellent after a big day out. Very clean and tidy. My double bed was a little bit hard for me..but that's just tough..they cant suit everyones standard. Mid budget motel that is worth the money. If you want to complain..go to the Hilton..bet the bed isn't up to your standard there either..serial complainers I say. Thanks Midway..would come back again.

  Perfect place to relax

  I so agree with Deborah you can't please everyone. The fact that you can smell sulphur comes with the fact that this is Rotorua - eveywhere smell of sulphur. We only had one night here and after the motel we had previously visited this was heaven! We sat outside in our little patio with a glass of wine and enjoyed the plunge pool [our first ever private one]. The bed was very comfortable and cooking favilities very good. We only wish we had left our previous accommodation early and come here. We would certainly recommend this super little motel.
