  3 day stay in Whanganui

  It was the worst motel accommodation I have ever stayed in, I have travelled all around the world and this was the worst place I have ever stayed in. The towels were not replaced daily, therefore I had to reuse wet, dirty towels. I had to wash the dishes in the same sink I used to wash my hands after using the toilet, there was no sink in the room, only 1 sink in the bathroom. There was a shower over the bath, my daughter asked if we could have a room with no bath as unable to step over bath due to disability, I was told the only disability unit was booked for the weekend ( i stayed 3 nights and the disability unit was only used for 1 night to my knowledge). I asked to upgade but was told by the manager the motel was fully booked, yet one of the staff told me it was the quietest weekend they had had in a long time. There was no spa yet a spa was advertised on a billboard outside the motel. I am very disappointed in this motel as I had a friend with me from Australia and they were upset about the health hazards regarding having to clean dishes in a sink in the bathroom and the overall poor condition of the motel room, when i asked the manager about the over condition of the motel he said "I'm just trying to keep this place ticking over until its pulled down". I dont like to complain but I am very disappointed about my experience at this motel.

  We have stayed at the Midtown Motor Inn on several occasions, and always return here. The motel is not flash but is always clean, tidy, and comfortable. The management and staff are always very helpful, accomodating, and welcoming. We recommend this motel to anybody who is looking to stay at a good honest, homely place!

  A Nice Hotel - No Frills

  We stayed here in April 2018 - as part of a group of friends travelling to Whaganui for a special event. We had 3 rooms booked. The Motel is not flash - the rooms are a bit dated but the motel is a great place to stay. All our rooms were HUGE - we had a double room - it had all the requirements you would need - TV, fridge, kitchenette (equipped), tea/coffee making, plenty of bag space and a huge bathroom and a separate toilet. The shower was in the bath - which meant a climb over the bath to get into the shower - which could be an issue for people with disabilities - we had no problems. The rooms at the rear of the motel where we stayed (54, 55, 56) were around a central courtyard - our room was quiet. The rooms are not air conditioned but the weather was fine when we were there. The linen provided was fresh and clean The staff on duty were helpful All in all our group enjoyed our stay here and we would not hesitate to recommend this motel to stay at - and the pricing was extremely reasonable

  Fine for couple of nights

  Not too bad - comfy bed, clean enough, only a couple 0f channels on the TV. Nice and central good, close to a couple of supermarket and places to eat good for the money and a decent place to get sleep after a busy day.

  Quick stop

  Units are bit tired but clean and tidy. Plenty of parking which could accommodate larger vehicles such as camper Van's easily. Set back from main road so quiet. Plenty of fast food outlets and supermarket close by.
