  Winter Getaway

  Fantastic night away staying at this hotel. From the check in, to check out, we found the staff to be friendly, attentive and polite. Nothing was too much to ask. Rooms lovely and extremely clean. Restaurant and food lovely and very well ran, especially with all the Covid guidelines. Would definitely recommend for a night away.

  Great Hotel

  Stayed here for four nights 7th - 10th December. Although still some Covid restrictions in place this did not impact on my stay. Staff very helpful and friendly from check in to check out. Rooms clean and spacious with everything that you could need. Breakfasts good with good variety and well cooked. We ate at Kellys steak house for 3 nights and the bar restaurant on the last night, Kellys would be the better option of the two. Car park is beside hotel with a 30 second walk, hotel validated my parking so nothing to pay for parking. We stayed at another hotel on previous visit but will be staying in Midlands in future as it is superior in my opinion.

  Excellent festive family holiday

  It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel from start to finish. The hotel was centrally located and had secure complementary car parking directly at the hotel. The reception area was very festive and staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our family room was big and spacious. The pool and its staff were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay! The food and drinks in Charters Bar were also delicious and the service was great too

  A warm Irish welcome

  I was a bit nervous to book a trip but as our daughter and some friends children finally got to make their communion after 3 failed dates we decided treat them to an overnight hotel stay as a treat on their communion day last Saturday. From the moment we entered the warm welcome we received to bidding us goodbye we felt like we were visiting friends. The environment felt very safe, lots of sanitizer everywhere, social distance well practiced and all Covid procedures followed without feeling like you were being policed. We were a large party of 16 (8 children & 8 adults) and nothing was too much trouble. My 9 year old daughter described it as being like staying in the Plaza in " Home alone 2". We had the warmest of welcomes from Julie at reception before heading to the Charter bar ( Carvery till 3pm and bar menu after 3 pm) Great options to choose from (pizza,wings,burgers) Then we headed to the pool. Great pool with lovely relaxing loungers, hot tub etc.. We had dinner in the restaurant which had a great selection on a set menu which also included a mulled wine. The restaurant staff could not do enough for you and in particular Gavin.How they spoke to and treated the children was amazing. They were genuinely warm and friendly and spolit them. We were celebrating 4 communions that day and they decorated all.of the plates and made us feel really special. After dinner they had pre -set a place up for us in the conservatory bar which was lovely. The bar staff were equally friendly and warm. We had breakfast the next morning which again was well organised and a great offering. We will 100% be back here again. We felt like we were in Disneyland in how the staff treated you. When you are in lockdown for so long you forget what a difference a warm Irish welcome can make to your day and your stay. We visited another hotel on the way home as we had a Santa experience booked. It was shocking especially considering that was supposed to be the magical and memorable part of our trip. Just goes to show you that is people who make the difference and we had a much more magical time at the Midkands park hotel....even without Santa

  Midlands Portlaoise Hotel ( extreme experience)

  The best room I ever had and I could completely relax a little bit and forget about the stress.Definitely wanna come back when such an opportunity arises. Totally awesome place and fully worth a visit
