  A Bad Experience in A China Tour

  The Hotel room is a bit small for 3 persons but the room is clean & food spread good. There are alot of amusement but we didnt try any as when we arrived, it was about dinner. Hotel is acceptable. Give it a try. A little bit of our Guilin Trip Nanning is the capital of Quangxi about 5 hrs drive to Guilin Guilin is a tourist spot with many beautiful limestone mountains beautiful scenery & Terraced Rice Fields. Have to be very careful though. Several of us were very nearly pickpocketed, not once but 2 times including myself. I was standing at the urinary bowl at a publc toilet when 3 men accosted me very close to me from behind. They had their hands covered with their coats and one of them was already dipping his hand in my pocket but withdrew when he noticed that one of my travelling mate ( a karate instructor) was observing them beside me. The other time was at a Night Market when a young small girl was pretending to be selling flowers. She came near to me pestering me to buy flowers and after a few minutes, I felt her small little hand inside my pocket. A Penang aunty saw it and came to my rescue. She told me not to touch her and slowly pacified her to return. The aunty told me had I touched her, she would make a big scene to say I have molested her. We noticed when she went back to her elderly "mentor", she was reprimanded with a scolding & a slap. She was stupendfied with an innocent teary look. Poor little girl. She was only about 4 years old! Another chap got his bag cut & purse missing.

  one night in Merryland Resort Hotel

  This hotel located 1.5hours-drive away from downtown Guilin.Surrounded by verdant plants and pools,it has been rated a 5-star hotel.I enjoyed the hot-spring in the hotel.Maybe during the low season,there're few people in the hot-spring pool and the temperature of the water isn't high enough.The most impressive are the western breakfast and Merryland Park. In general,the room isn't good enough for a 5-star hotel,but clean and peaceful.Not too bad!

  I made a tour plan for my customers which is including stay a night at Merryland Hotel Xin'an-China, however my customer's wallet has been stole by Merryland hotel cleaning service staff, As we check the Hotel CCTV, even though CCTV cannot see the spot the cleaning service lady stole the wallet (inside the toilet room) but after we watched the CCTV, no doubt we believe that only she can do that. And Police including the hotel staff also agree with that statement, Unfortunately no good act from police officer, and also the Hotel Management always excuse that this case already handle by Police, so that cleaning service lady still working at Merryland hotel as usual. Hope you guys carefully with that..

  Comfortable stay for 7d/6n

  Stayed here for my parents' class reunion (all older adults, no children). Lots of spaces for strolls, a spa, hot springs, massage parlor, KTV room. The shopping arcade and gift shop are small. The breakfast buffet has a wide spread of Western and Chinese options; try their Guilin noodles. It's hard to find amusement immediately outside the resort, as the city outside is quiet. You may need to take a taxi to go into town if you don't want to eat at Merryland. Same goes for getting to the airport, Guilin proper, train station, or most places. Service was excellent. When we asked to change rooms because we accidentally left the door open and too many moths flew in, the rooms manager and a staff member showed up within 3 minutes of our call. The gym is very small (only 2 treadmills, 1 bike, and some others), and it's difficult to go running outside. If your group is large enough (10+), consider booking a shuttle bus with Merryland to take you to attractions/tours or do airport pick-up.

  Great Resort

  Great resort, very big, old-conventional but still comfortable room. This resort quite age, but well maintained. They have beautiful big park, good for short night walk, and placed onsite with Merryland themepark. The restaurant is big and good taste of international cuisine. They have souvenir shop onsite, with fair price, if you don't have enough time to bought it on Theme Park. Both price are quite fair for this kind of place. The only minus thing is, even this is five star international resort, they don't have staffs who could speak English at all >.<
