  Great Customer Service

  We visited the Merit Park Hotel over New Years and had a great time. We had read the previous review about construction traffic and heard it on day one but the hotel staff were very good at moving us to a sea facing room once we highlighted the issue. The staff were amazing, always helpful in everything we asked of them - we especially liked the champagne and chocolates in the lobby (though this may have been a seasonal initiative). The food was really good for the amount they were feeding, some translations didnt come across to English very well but on the whole very good especially the desserts which are a piece of art in themselves. Due to the time of year we didnt go outside but used the Spa inside which was really good and mirrored a spa in the UK. A couple of comments that would help the already near perfect experience would be: - Ban mobile phones in the Spa, it wasnt very enjoyable being sat and trying to relax whilst someone shouted down their phone or listened to music without headphones. - Ban mobile phones at meals. Again, I dont want to be surrounded by people FaceTiming their meal to their family - The children of other guests were obviously bored and would be running around the corridors all through the night screaming and banging into doors waking us up. If there were evening activities for the children it would have stopped this happening. In summary we would definitely recommend and return. Thanks!

  Christmas at Merit Park

  Stayed for five nights at Merit Park, ultra all inclusive. Firstly, I would class it as a four star not five and not ultra all inclusive. The mini bar is very understocked, just two beers and soft drinks. This was not replenished daily and I had to request for someone to restock. This was done with ease on request. The rooms are in need of updating also in my opinion. The food was lovely with lots of choice and the casino is great. They did not have a free shuttle service to the other merit hotels so we went in a taxi to take a look in case of wanting to stay on our next visit as we travel there three or four times a year, at least. We loved the animal enclosure and the time taken to care for the horses etc. I can't say I would never go back but I would like to have a little bit more ultra for the price paid.

  Beautiful Northern Cyprus

  Most people when asked have you been to Cyprus say the south Paphos,Larnaca, Aya Napa. Well for a change try the north side it is fantastic cheaper than the south the quality of food is fantastic. With really high quality hotels which are all inclusive, we stayed at the Merit Park in Kyrenia absolutely fantastic, should you be interested look on go north cyprus website and check out the hotels you will not be disappointed.   Worst hotel ever

  To be honest was very surprised to see such 5 star "service". A small note, we took ultra all inclusive. As soon as we arrive to the room, was a big surprise not to see alcohol in mini bar. Reception told, that the reason is corona virus. So for water and Pepsi, there is no corona, but for alcohol there is. Ok, reception said, that we can bring you everything in your room upon your request. Requested. And what you think they brought? 2 bears. Wow, 5 star hotel. During the whole staying, room was cleaned, but bed clothes never changed. Sugar coffee and tea had to be "Requested " always as house keeping always forgot to bring them. Sea side is open, but you cannot find there staff and not possible to stay there. Swimming pool bar, is a different story, first time in my life, I had a milkshake made of ice, milk and syrup. So, looks like 5 star hotel doesnt have money to buy ice cream or it's something very expensive. Meal was very bad, tasteless and mostly spicy. No options at all. Sorry, to say, but I will not advice this hotel and will not come again

  The 5th time in Merit Park Hotel first week of October 2019, again an excellent experience

  My wife and me have been the 5th time in the Merit Park Hotel and Casino. We arrived in the late afternoon and got our hotel room. The hotel room had an excellent view to the sea. Unfortunately we got an information that the Fitness Center was not available during our stay. As both of us liked to use the fitness center during our vacation time it was a great disappointment for us. However, we contacted the lady of the guest relation and explained the problem. After 30 minutes she came with a solution. We could use the fitness in the Merit Crystal Hotel or Merit Royal Hotel which were both 5 min by car from the Merit Park. Furthermore, we have been offered a free shuttle service to visit the Gym. Outstanding service and great experience for us. The beverages served in the hotel, in the lobby bar, at the beach bars are all excellent. The service is excellent as well. Our room was cleaned very properly during our stay. The food was very good as well. However here we had to say that the food was a bit better the years before. We had an excellent 12 days of vacation in the Merit Park Hotel. After our return we booked another week for this year in May again. We like to thank the ladies from the guest relation, the service people from the beach and the lobby bar and the hotel team of the Merit Park Hotel in Cyprus for the great effort they have given us during our stay. We will visit you in May 2020 again. Oezler & Harald
