  Amazing experience

  What a wonderful place to stay, the hosts go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. The breakfast is more than you would expect from a 5 star hotel and was just sensational. Loved the history of Meredith House and the extensive library. Look forward to travelling from Cairns to stay again. Highest recommendation..

  Island hospitality at its best

  We stayed at the Mews cottages before but this time we were in one of the rooms on the top floor with a view of the water. The baked porridge for breakfast was again a highlight, this time served with fresh berries. Each day had new varieties of freshly baked muffins and breads, lots of coffee and a cooked breakfast too. Fresh plunger coffee in the room as well as a choice of teas and chocolate drinks. We enjoyed the use of the lounge in the evening, with books and a glass of port. Neal and Noel, and their dogs Dougal and Lulu, are wonderful hosts who love to share their knowledge of the area, incl advice on where to go for dinner. Staying there two nights made it easier to walk around Freycinet for the day, visit local wineries, and go back for a good night sleep and a hearty breakfast Im sure we will be back.

  Perfect!

  The boys looked after us so well.... and the wee West Highland Terriers melted my heart (and the breakfast OMG). The worst thing about the place was that we only had one night ... and that is reason enough to book our next trip and tell all our friends.

  Wonderful find

  We stayed at Meredith House for 1 night. Our room had windows with a double aspect overlooking the sea and the church. The owners were very helpful and welcoming, as were the West highland terriers. The room was well appointed and had lovely views. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The property is clearly loved and the owners take a great deal of pride in their B&B. There were many great things about it, however, the standout was the amazing breakfast which was international, interesting, home made and delicious. I havent used those words to describe a breakfast for years. I would happily stay there again and again. Can highly recommend.

  Fabulous Stay!

  Stayed at Meredith House for 1 night and loved it! Our hosts, Neal & Noel, were so welcoming. Had a great view from our room upstairs and found it very comfortable. The breakfast was sensational!! The best part was enjoying the time spent with the furry hosts, Dougal and Lulu.
