  Awful!!! DON'T STAY HERE!!!

  My friends and I stayed here in Aug 2008 and it was the most terrible experience I've ever had! I'm not that demanding in terms of budget stay but given the price of 60 euro per night I expected a bit more. Let me mention just a few problems we faced: - We arrived late at night (and had notified the owner in advance) and found the hotel closed. We literally didn't know what to do as there were nowhere to stay nearby and none of us speaks french which is a big problem there. Fortunatelly for us there was a couple coming back to hotel, who had a key and let us in and woke up the owner. - THE ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT WHAT WAS PROMISSED - we booked so called comfort room which supposed to have an aircon, but we only found fan which didn't give any relief and we couldn't open the windows niether as the street was extremely noisy at night - so you have to choose either heat or noise. And when i say "noise", I realy mean it. The corridors were dark and so tiny that I couldn't get through it with my bags. The bathroom was tiny and terribly shabby. - There's no proper parking or garage, so we had to abandon our car outside on the sidewalk and wake up couple of times at night to check whether everithing was ok due to constant works at night outside as we had a windsurfing equipment on top. What else can I say... Yes, we checked out the following day with numerous comlains even though it was a high season and all the hotels were fully booked and we didn't have place to stay. Unforunatelly, I didn't find this hotel on Tripadvisor when I came back to describe everything straight away.

  the worst stay ever !

  I didn't read the reviews of this hotel before.Unfortunately. Pictures will say more than words. It's not my Urine in the toilet. There is a dust on the chair. They(pics) were made as we just arrived, before the end of receptionist's working day. So I can show these pics to the hotel emploees only next day. Dont stay here ! Merea hotel is dirtier than worst toilet in the world!

  Disappointing

  I was looking for an inexpensive and cozy hotel for my weekend on the french coast back in May 2012. The Hotel Merea seemed like a suitable option despite the negative critics I had read before. I took the risk and I could only confirm that all critics were for a reason. The entrance of the hotel is quite fashionable... unfortunately this is not the case with the rooms, all looking quite old fashioned (old TV, simple decoration, poor bathrooms, etc.). There is a strange smell at the entrance of the rooms, probably caused by the carpet. Regarding the service, reception closes from the evening until the early morning but what disappointed me the most was the poor recommendations I got from the owner about places to visit or eat in the area, which were almost always incomplete and not accurate. Definitely not the brightest place to stay. And the worst thing of all is that I ended up paying more than I should have wished.

  Rooms for tourists

  Just in front of the Sunday market, near Council Hall of the Town. Supermarkets, Coffee shops and restaurant are all around. Noisy all day night during summer and a bit expensive in comparison to the same room quality.

  Shame full Hotel

  Far too expensive for a lousy room // Tenant very unpleasant .Room and beds are ridiculously small and uncomfortable , and to top it all , very dirty , lots of loose hair all around . Overnight stay on July 28 , for a family reunion . Rated 2 stars , but two stars too many !
