  Maravilloso

  Mi segunda vez en el Mercure, y puedo decir que fue incluso mejor que la primera. El hotel y las habitaciones son estupendas, el SPA está en muy buen estado de funcionamiento y es una maravilla, el personal del hotel muy atento y amable. El desayuno es de los mejores que conozco y el restaurante difícilmente superable. Sin duda volveré cuando tenga ocasión.

  Nice hotel but disappointed in the food

  We stayed in the hotel shortly after Christmas and were looking forward to our stay. We had the Spa booked and would then be staying at the hotel and dining on the evening. The Spa was great. The gym and pool facilities were really good and we really enjoyed our treatments. The spa facilities were quiet and COVID precautions were in place. The steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were all out of use which is understandable, however it would have been good if we were informed of this when we made the booking, and there didnt seem to be any discount on the price as a result of the reduction in facilities. We checked into the hotel next, and the grounds and outside of the hotel look really grand, however on the inside looked a little tired and in need of renovation. The room we checked into was nice, but a little dated. There was a sign on the cabinet for the fridge that said drinks in fridge are complimentary, which was nice, but then when we opened the cabinet, there was only 1 small bottle of sparkling water... The bed was comfortable and we were happy with the room. It had a great view out across the duck pond. On the evening we eat in the Oak room. Staff in the restaurant were all really friendly and helpful, but seemed to lack a system. We had multiple waiters / waitresses come to the table to ask if we wanted to order or how our meal was when wed already been asked or had already ordered. The food itself was very basic, and we thought was overpriced for the quality of food we received. I had the king prawn cocktail for starter. The prawns were definitely not king prawns, and were served in a cheap and basic looking wine glass. My fiancée had the pate which was much better! We then both had the steak for main. Mine was a bad cut and quite gristly, however my fiancees was again much better. I had some of her peppercorn sauce which helped improve the poor quality of the steak. Breakfast was unfortunately no better, and the quality of the full English was poor. The sausages were inedible and you could see the dried fat on the bottom of them where theyd been lifted off a tray. On the whole we would recommend the hotel and the Spa, and though it was very good value. However if youre planning on dining and having a nice meal, I would recommend booking not eating at the hotel.

  Had to Cancel due to Covid but Great Service

  So we were really looking forward to our trip to this hotel. From booking to having to cancel this hotel has procedure brilliant customer service. I'd like to say thank you to all the team who helped us from booking to arranging some special treats as it was for a special occasion or would if been to sadly having to cancel. We had nothing but great customer service and I'm sure once we are able to travel we are very much looking forward to booking this hotel again and this time getting to enjoy the hotel and it's lovely grounds. I have a feeling we will encounter the great service as before and look forward to a nice weekend away in the future. In the mean time I wish all the staff the very best and to continue doing a great job be safe and all the best for now.

  Disgusting Room

  Booked a 2 night stay via secret escapes, setting of hotel is stunning. Checked in and went to our room there was no heating so we sat in our coats until we were moved to another room. In the second room there were dead flies all over the carpet near the window and on the window sill. We were told by reception staff that there was no one available to clean the room at that time, but when we went down to dinner the dead flies would be removed. We were not given any apology from management and will definitely not be staying at that hotel again.

  Shocking food

  I work away a lot and during the pandemic I am fully aware that the menus are limited . Unfortunately this hotel which I have stayed in the last 2 weeks has the worst menus I have come across not only is the food Terrible but on the small option they have half of it is out of stock , this includes no chicken salad no duck to add to stir fry , they do not even have bottled water here . You cannot even get a sandwich for dinner , how poor is it that a chef cant knock up a simple sandwich. Last time I will stay here and as my company uses this hotel regularly they will be now off the list for future stays .
