  Convenient hotel for business trip

  not too bad location. Ideal for business trip. Large room, quiet. professional team. breakfast buffer is standard as well as the restaurant (Schnitzel of course...). Reception is really helpful - got my room little bit earlier after a looooong journey from Cape Town. So I really appreciated the effort knowing hotel was fully booked because of conference.

  Okay hotel for a short stay !

  This hotel meets the Mercure expectation and offers good value for money. The location is not too far from Dortmund at a shopping and restaurant area - so KFC and Pizza Hut at walking distance for a quick diner. I usually book a privilege room as it has nice benefits like, free mini bar content, late checkout, in room coffee machine and sometimes extra WiFi capacity. Our room was ok, had all the expected BUT was missing one crucial thing, it had no topper mattress on the double bed! This gives you two single beds moved together but with the awkward ridge in the middle As I clearly booked a kingsize on the website ( showing a photo ) I asked for a room with such a bed. In total I saw 3 rooms but all without a topper. It turned out they had no kingsize with one big matress. That is a major miss( and not in line with the website ) They correctly apologized and offered us free breakfast - what was very much appreciated but still - get toppers or a true kingsize. Breakfast was nice and very complete. In summary, good place to stay unless you want a kingsize or ridge free double bed.

  Perfect short stop

  Set in quiet, spacious grounds this hotel offers everything a traveller needs. Our room for 2 adults and a German Shepard provided plenty of space for the 3 of us. The room was cleaned to a very high standard and the bed provided a very good nights sleep. The grounds are perfect for a dog, spacious with plenty of grass. If your dog chases rabbits keep it on the lead as they are everywhere . A very quiet hotel close to the main road. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Have used this hotel 5 times now and have never been disappointed.

  Friendly and nice

  I stayed here for a night when I was in the area for business. I did not want to stay downtown in Dortmund and a colleague recommended this hotel. The proximity to the highway and to airport makes this a great place to stay especially when one arrives with a late evening flight. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had dinner at the hotel and the choice was limited for someone who is not a fan of meat. For lack of vegan choices, I had a Schnitzel which was very good albeit a very large portion. The rooms are large and mine faced a garden so that was really nice. Parking in front of the hotel is also very convenient. I will definitely be back when in the area next.

  Where was the air con?

  Nice hotel, Clean and close to major roads so can be noisy. We chose this hotel as we knew the weather was going to be hot and it offered aircon. Turns out that this was only on in the reception area. The chap in reception told us to put the room temp up to max and gradually increase the fan speed. This did not work. We opened the windows to try to cool down and the bugs got in as did the road noise.. Tried a cold shower but it £never ran cold. When we complained we got the shrug and a sorry. At 3110 for a night we were robbed.
