  Pleasant stay

  Except difficult parking entrance, the hotel was nice, as we expected. We enjoyed the swimming pool (free entrance), the sauna and hammam (15 euro extra, overpriced for what you get). They are very small but were never crowded. Restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, no terrace, the breakfast was very good. Staff was really friendly and always very helpful! There is a nice park nearby where we walked our dog, and there are several restaurants in a walking distance. Les verres de Contact was a cosy small resto with good food and wines. Epinal art museum (small but great with kids) is next door.

  Perfect location with poor room service

  Average but bit pricey hotel with good location. Inhouse parking is almost impossible with bigger cars as the garage entry is really tight so If you really need to jump the car in the morning use the places in the front of hotel. Restaurant is OK, staff is amazing. Room service is sloppy in case of bathrooms (missing soaps, dirty shower during 3/5 of my stays).

  Very good location / friendly staff

  Right in the center of areas with bars and restaurants. Friendly staff at the reception. On arrival she gave us all the informations required regarding where to walk around and have dinner. Very helpful. Private parking available at 12,50/night. We didnt take the breakfast. Room are quite big but definitely needs a bit of renovation. Especially the bathroom.

  Worst Mercure Hotel ever...should be renamed as a Formule1 or ibis budget

  We were so disappointed by this hotel which absolutely did not meet our expectations and which actually does not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel, nor the ones of a Mercure ( we were in another Mercure in the south of France the night before and it was perfect). The family room in Epinal was in terrible condition, decoration from the 80s, everything in the room looked tired and oldish, with a terrible smell of cigarette everywhere in the room and dust everywhere.The only solution found by the staff was to suggest us to open the windows. Even the reception looks old and from the 80s. We generally book in Mercure hotels to be sure to find good standards but this one should be downgraded to a 2 star hotel. This is also affecting our trust in accor hotels since now we know that even in Mercure hotels, you have the good ones and the terrible ones... in the end we did not stay, it would have ruined our whole vacation in 1 night.

  Nice room, but difficult service

  We stayed here for one night end of May. Due to our accor member status, we got a room upgrade. Our room was on the highest floor. Next to two bathrooms, a large living and dining room, we also had a large bed room one floor higher. The furniture was a bit old fashioned, but everything clean and nice. The hotel has a certain number of parking spaces, but all of them has been already occupied when we arrived, so we had to park outside on the street. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very good. When we wanted to get our welcome drink at the bar, the bar was already closed before official closing time and the lady at the reception couldn't serve us with a glass of wine- Only soft drinks. She send us to a bar outside of the hotel. Later we have seen that also the room service was according to brochure and info material in the room, still available at this time. Would this have been served than by another person, authorized to serve also wine?? When mentioning this during check-out the lady at the reception was surprised about the fact that the person in the evening could not serve us a glass of wine. Also the welcome gift, which is one of the status advantages, never arrived. Not sure if this is the way to serve a Gold member.
