  Helpful staff, private and secure

  We stayed at the Melasa House for a week. It's the perfect base to go exploring around Lombok and the Gili's. Menik on reception was extremely helpful and will happily call taxis and arrange visits on our behalf. Frank, the owner is also very friendly and made us feel very welcome, sorting a car and driver when needed. He also provided hints and tips for beaches and restaurants. Melasa house is just outside of Sengiggi and costs about 21000 rupiah to get to town each way. All of the taxi drivers know where it is and we never struggled. Menik also arranged for us to hire a bike, perfect for the days when we just wanted a day at the beach or lunch. We also went to Kuta beach on it. Would recommend Melasa house, lovely location, clean rooms. Only downside was water pressure and temperature and lack of hair dryer. Safe and fridge in room and tv with lots of channels. 24 hour security on site too, not sure if it's needed but reassuring all the same. It seems to be the done thing in Lombok.

  Lovely place, clean, friendly staff. PERFECT!

  We (me and my husband)stayd in Melasa House one week, because we just loved the place. Room was really clean and nice, with balcony. The pool area is beautiful and really clean. also. Breakfast was simple but good. Someone wrote that shower was bad, that is not true. There is mosque somewhere near, but sounds did not disturb us, not at all. There is really nice fish restaurant near hotel and also Senggigi centrum is only few kilometers away. Rent motorcycle, best way to explore the Senggigi. Staff will help you, what ever you need. They arrange motorcycles, airport transportation and they also do laudry. If we go back to Senggigi, this is the place we will stay

  Felt like I had to leave Home

  From the second you walk in there you feel welcome. Melasa is not your ordinary hotel. The owner of Melasa is an English man who moved to this place about ten years ago. About five years ago he built a few guest houses on his beautifull piece of land. Not because of the money, but because he wanted to do something. These guesthouses are managed by the most lovely woman you'll ever meet in your life. She's kind, helpfull and most of all, she is real. She's not like the most hotel folks you meet. She's fun and genuine. The facilities are fantastic. The pool is nice and clean and there's a beautifull garden where you can feel a real piece of Indonesia. The rooms are very clean and modern, and the bathroom has a great shower. They have satelite tv, so you can watch some tv before you go to sleep. The breakfast is freshly made by the friendly hostess, which tasted amazing! It felt like I had to leave home. You can rent a scooter at te hotel to tour trough Senggigi. The restaurants are not more than a 10 min drive away.

  Excellent service and best Wifi in Lombok!

  I stayed for 10 nights at Melasa House and I absolutely loved it. The owner Frank is very friendly and flexible as is his staff. The Wi-Fi is very good everywhere on the property! It is close to restaurants and Sengiggi centre. I would definitely recommend this place for people who would like to combine surfing in Sengiggi with a peaceful stay.

  Hidden Gem

  This is a great little hotel with a personal touch. Amenities are modern and clean with great attention to detail. Frank the owner was really helpful and his staff are great they even helped me rent a motorbike. The English Breakfast is amazing just like being in the UK and the coffee was superb. I will be back.
