City Trip and close to all sites

This hotel is not fancy but is just the perfect stay for a city trip. It is close to both the city tram and the S line to get to the airport. You can directly access from Schönefeld airport by taking the S9 Pankow to the Berlin Greifswalder Straße station and jumping out of the station and taking the M4 towards Hackers Market. The hotel is a few stops from the train station. This is a basic hotel but they offer breakfast at 8 euros per day. We found that we didn't need breakfast because there are plenty of little shops and bakeries along the street. I found it to be very safe in the neighbourhood and there was plenty of 24hour convenience stores on the street. At night the tram comes about every half hour but runs all night long. We did a lot of clubbing and found it to be rather inexpensive to uber back if need be. We didn't really stay in the room much because we did a lot of sightseeing but it was quiet and clean and that was pretty much all we really needed. If you are looking for something fancy this is not for you. It is very close to alexanderplatz and a few blocks that are easily walkable if you are in good condition. Just a few blocks up from the hotel on Rykestraße there are some extremely charming and cute little restaurants and bars. There is also a sunday/saturday (not sure which day we went) market just not that far from the Rykestraße as well. This is a must see. They have the cutest little coffee, wine, cheese, food, crafts and arts stands. Was a nice little spot to just people watch and taste some of the local culture.

    Great value hotel

Great value for money hotel with tram stops nearby. An excellent breakfast, friendly English speaking staff and calming Feng Shui influenced interiors. A bit of traffic noise and rooms without air conditioning but overall highly recommended

Reasonably-priced accomodations in a quiet, safe neighbourhood

I just returned from a trip to Berlin. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was reasonably-priced, clean, and located in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. The hotel was located within a 20-minute walk or 3-4 tram stops from Alexanderplatz, at a fraction of the cost of staying in the Alexanderplatz area. The reception staff - Robert, Katja and Daniella - were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very healthy, delicious, and reasonably-priced. As well, there are some great restaurants and cafes nearby, such as Mehas (Turkish food). I highly recommend this hotel.

    Clean and effective

I found this hotel to be well equipped and located for my purposes, my work place at Gendarmenmarkt was 5 km removed, easily navigable by Lime scooter or public transport. The room was bordering on cramped with only 14 square meters, not allowing for involved yoga exercises, I did manage somehow eventually, however the bed more than made up for that. Good mattress and comforter. Indeed, as said in other reviews, the lack of airco makes for a stuffy atmosphere, but that is fixable by opening the window at the draft setting, giving a small twist of the window handle without opening the window frame. The bathroom comes with the basics, although it looks a bit old and used, it is nonetheless squaky clean. The interior parking has space for a few vehicles, but the entrance is a cramped horror, had to fold the outer mirrors and drive at a snail pace to be able to enter the lot. There are plenty restaurants to be found nearby, as well as a late night shop or two for snacks and things. All in all a good address for a short stay in town, very good value, I stayed five nights for not even 50 euros per night without breakfast (plenty breakfast places around for the same rate). Nice visit.
