Convenient if you take JR linesThe hotel is just facing JR Nagoya station, very convenient if you take JR lines. The hotel is just near to BIC Camera for shopping. There is also an underground shopping area with many restaurants for dinner and breakfast.

Would have been pleasant if not for an impatient Japanese female staffLocation of this hotel is excellent, restaurants and shopping just a stones throw away, room is also clean albeit outdated decor. For a stopover of 1 night, this hotel is a good choice. An unpleasant encounter with a Japanese female staff at the front desk. As it was still 15mins away from our check in time at 2pm, while a very patient and kind vietnamese female staff was serving us, this Japanese female staff interrupted and asked twice impatiently if we were going to store our luggage or wait at hotel lobby until check in time. We chose the latter. After 5 mins (the time now was 1:50pm), she approached 3 other guests seated at the hotel lobby, informed them in Japanese that its time for check in. However, she didnt approach us. We had to go to her instead and asked if it was check in time. She definitely didnt make us feel wecome at all. However, there were pleasant memories of other staff of this hotel. The vietnamese female staff and 2 Japanese male staff who served us during check in and check out were all very polite and professional. Truly appreciate their excellent customer service and the warm hospitality. Thank you!

Nice stay and good location~We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in our recent trip to Japan, after coming from Tokyo via Shinkansen. The hotel's location is one of the great plus point as it is just located opposite the JR station, and right next to a huge departmental store (Big C) and Esca, an underground shopping street. There are also many restaurants, cafes and eateries all around and Takashimaya is also opposite, next to the train station. The hotel is seemed to have have renovated as there areas and things seemed dated. Our rooms were 914 and 915 and were very small. We have 3 persons but could not stay in one room and so one room had a double room and the other, single bed. Other than being very small (even smaller than our room in Tokyo) and no bottles of mineral water provided, everything seemed quite good.' Beds were comfortable and rooms are cosy with stable wifi connections. Ice machine was located on the 8th floor though some hotels have it on every floor. Room servce was well done. We had our breakfast and the spread was good, comprising of local and western cuisines and staff were friendly. For dinner, we had ample choices as there are many eateries all around, in addition to convenience stores etc. If you are coming from the train station, the easiest way to get to the hotel is to get out of the train station (south entrance, if not mistaken, near the Ramen street), and cross the traffic junction which you will see the Big C store. The hotel is right next and all it takes is just a mere 5 mins. I think this is better than going from the underground shopping street (which you will exit from exit 5, through an escalator that will lead you to the main entrance of the Big C store and hotel). Reason being there are many directional signs in the underground shopping street which can be confusing and also if you have trolley luggages, you will need to carry them through a flight of steps before you can take the escalator, which can be challenging). Overall, we had a good stay here.

Good locationVery good location just 5 mins walk from Nagoya station. We were disappointed with this pretty old hotel after staying in 2 amazing hotels for the past week. Service was curt with non of the Japanese hospitality that we were spoilt with earlier in the week. Functional at best but the whole hotel is tired and needs an upgrade soon.
