  Awesome destination

  Great overnight stay on our way to Cape Town. The rooms was spacious and clean, the hostess very friendly. Biker friendly and quiet. The kitchen fully equipped with coffee, tea etc available, aircon was most welcome. Will most definitely utilise their establishment again

  Mein Heim Estate

  Beautiful estate with large property, massive farm house, horses and playful dogs. Plenty space to wander and roam. Has trampolines and swimming pool. Fantastic for kids. Friendly hosts and large rooms.

  Relaxing road trip stopover

  Great spot to relax and spend the night during a road trip. The family enjoyed exploring the areas around the farm house. Clean and comfortable. 15km from town with no shop or restaurant - just remember to bring with you whatever you will need for dinner and breakfast.

  Excellent stopover

  Mein Heim guesthouse is situated about 16km outside of Kimberley and we used it as a stopover en route to Gauteng and Pretoria. It is located on a stud farm and there is planty of opportunities to feed some of the horses and ponies on the farm. There is also some antelope (springbok) in a large camp and although it was difficult to get close to them it was fun for all of us to watch them from adistance. Some large but friendly dogs quickly become part of your stay and there is a large enclosed pool that is very welcome in the stifling heat. The house is huge and we stayed in one part thereof without even being aware of the rest of the guests. The Living room, kitchen and rooms is huge and very stylishly decorated. Old style with enough of the modern so we were more than happy. Free wi-fi kept the kids happy enough. We stayed for one night and the owners made us feel really special. Verdict: I highly recommend the place as a stop over...if you are staying for more than a few days, keep in mind that it is a fair distance to Kimberley and you would require transport if you need to fill up on provisions.

  Nice and quiet off the beaten track

  A very clean room, with good bed and linen, good shower room. Nice for over night and off the beaten track. Interesting and friendly horses and dogs on farm. We stayed just one night, on our way to Namibia - but if you are into horses, this could be the place for you.
