  Very friendly staff

  I loved this hotel because i was situated in a quiet area. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and kind. Was 10 minutes walk from the beach. I already recomended the hotel to my friends. The breakfast is common for Greece.

  Beautiful peaceful hotel

  Stayed here a couple of years ago and it was lovely so peaceful, beautiful views and a great place not to far from the pubs/clubs but you definitely can't hear them at night win win! Been to zante a few times and this is the only hotel I would take my Young daughter too!

  Great place to stay in Laganas

  It's great and peaceful place in Laganas, which is actually place for young people who likes to party.... Hotel is located few km from the city center so the noise of the night clubs is far enough. 10 min walk to the beach. Basically all rooms have sea view from the balcony side and olive trees on the other side. Under the olive trees there is plenty of place for car parking in case you would like to rent a car. Breakfest is simple, typical for greece. Stuff is extremely friendly and warm, you can order delicius greek food at any time from the hotel restaurant. Hotel has almost everywhere free Wifi with normal quality. We stayed there with a family and were very satisfied. Recommend definitely for families and people who like peaceful hotel.

  Great quiet place to stay

  We recently spent two weeks at the Megara and absolutely loved it ! Efi and her family really went out of their way to satisfy our every need. Laganas is known as a party resort with allnight clubs and bars, but the Megara is in a quiet location on the outskirts of the resort. The beach was only a five minute walk away through an olive grove, and there you could find plenty of restaurants and quiet bars. The night clubs were about ten to fifteen minutes walk away, if you wanted them. However we would recommend the Megara to middle aged and older people who want a quieter time. The beach is sandy and you can walk out into the sea for a hundred yards or more. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was the shower, which was a rather small square one with a plastic curtain which obviously clung to you. That is however the only negative comment I can find to make about our time at the Megara. We would certainly go back again.

  Family holiday

  We recently celebrated my Mum's 80th birthday at the Hotel Megara and we had a fabulous time. Thanks to Efi, Dimitri and the lovely family who have the hotel. They are so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay very special. We really felt at home there and it was very relaxing. Having said that if you want lively it is just a walk down the lane,along the beach to the main road where you can party all night if you want too. Along this route there are some lovely beach bars and restaurants. The pool is lovely and although the Hotel was full the pool was quiet during the day and we all went in even my Mum! We had a few lunches on the covered terrace and all the food was gorg. Breakfast is a buffet of fresh fruit, meat, breads, pastries, cereal and yogurt. Fruit juice, tea and coffee. it was plentiful and a nice start to the day. The rooms are large, basic and very clean with fridge,kettle and the bare necessities for self catering it you wish. Showers are in need of an upgrade as they have a curtain which tends to cling to you. But this wasnt a problem and we soon had it sussed. All in all a fabulous holiday and a lovely hotel that i thoroughly recommend. Thankyou!
