  NIce faimily hotel with very helpfull staff

  Out stay was for thee nights and it was very pleasant. room was clean spacious. staff were polite. restaurant has delicious food that too on reasonable prices. Bar was the biggest plus that make our stay awesome. they gave complimentary starter with drink that too of 6 types and unlimited (includes chicken also). will recommend to everyone to stay

  Very Nice

  Located near Mattuthavani bus stand and situated within the compound of Meenakshi hospital. Rooms and service are excellent. Complimentary breakfast and food are good with courteous service of staff at Restaurant and Reception. Well designed and maintained property. Good for any stay; Family or single, Long or Short.

  Very nice hotel

  Its a decent hotel to stay in Maduai. Rooms are well maintained. Restaurant located at Ground floor and is very nice. Hotel staff very good and couteous. Complimentary breakfast is nice. Room service also available.

  A good option if you want to avoid the busy city

  Apart from being a major tourist destination for the South of India, Madurai is also a bustling city with people running around all day long. So, when a friend and I, who were riding from Chennai needed a pit stop at the city while going to another village nearby for another friend's wedding, we decided to stay at the outskirts of the city instead of getting into it. No place in Madurai's outskirts is as famous as Mattuthavani - a place with one of the busiest bus stops in the state. The groom friend of ours, who is from the city, thankfully got us a room at Meenakshi's Sunshine Hotel.  The hotel is located right behind the city's famous hospital - Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre and as you can guess from the name, it's owned by the same management. The hotel has a separate entrance through a street past the hospital and following Google Maps got us to the location with no issues whatsoever. The place a good parking facility. As we were in our two-wheelers, we didn't have to worry about much anyway. The room, per se, is a very simple and basic one with a small TV. The bathroom is also decent and basic toiletries are provided as well. The staffs were courteous and helped us with directions. It's one of those hotels that you would want to stay when you're going to be out venturing the city for the majority of the day and returning to your room just for your night's slumber. Thankfully, my friend who rode with me had a relative to meet in the city and considering it's my first time in the city, I spent my time sightseeing. FYI, the city has so much to offer and I couldn't do justice with just a day's time in hand.  On the whole, Meenakshi's Sunshine Hotel is a highly recommended hotel if you don't have much business inside the city and need a place for a layover. If you're a tourist who is travelling the city of Madurai, there are of course, countless options inside the city. The fact that Meenakshi's Sunshine Hotel caters to those who visit the patients who are admitted at the hospital and offer a roof to those like us who don't want the hustle and bustle of the city, makes it quite a unique hotel.
