  First time to Bali

  This was my girlfriend and i first time in Bali, and Wow this villa was so perfect and beautiful. Everyone at Mayaloka was more than helpful nothing was ever a problem. I cannot recommend this enough the pickup from the airport was seamless and anytime we wanted to get into town there was never any trouble in dropping us off 5 STAR

  Hidden Paradise

  Travelling solo to Bali I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Villa to be greeted by a a friendly welcoming team to such a beautiful place.. a little hidden paradise. The villas are secure, the staff are so helpful and importantly to me I felt safe and at home. I celebrated my birthday during my stay and the staff delivered a delicious cake and made me feel very special. The location was also a highlight to me. It is on a quiet street however still in close proximity to the beach and central Seminyak. They even offer a complimentary shuttle service to around Seminyak. Im already planning my return trip and cant wait to stay at Mayaloka again.

  Staff are the highlight of this place.

  let's get statred on the staff. They were the best team of staff I and my husband have ever encountered on our many trips over Asia. Every single team member greeted you with a friendly Hello and smile. and they were all male. Every worker knew my name, this was a lovely touch. We stayed a week at Mayaloka. we are familair with the area. the positives: rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed not the softest, but I've slept in worse. Pool clean and cool. a little hard to get in and out of, but not much can be changed about that. Food, as in all Asia - satisfactory, but nothing special. Villa's look exactly as they are pictured. I never once felt unsafe in the area, or never once did I feel like I needed to put spare money or valuable goods away. Good location, couple of small resturants close, a good spa up near Circle K (cheap and good) and the main area a little further up the road. Laundry about 200 mts away, and cheap. never had an issue with Taxi or Grab. I screen shotted the address for the drivers. The airport transfer was seemless. very friendly, and even stopped so I could exchange money. Now for the reason I did not give 5 stars, and this was hard for me, as we did enjoy our stay, but I have to give my honest opnion. I asked well in advance for a room closer to reception. I had this booked for months. We got the 2nd last villa in the lot. I had read reviews that the nighclub was very noisy, and it was a long walk. Boy, were the reviews right! By the end of my 5 nights, I had so much broken sleep from the music I felt like I had not rested. But because I was in Bali, I just delt with it, but I was very tired. And yes, it was a long way down over a rocky path that was very hard to navigate at night. and was slippery in the wet. This is definately not the place for disabled people. I do know that room requests are subject to availability, hence why I asked so long ago. So this did damper my holiday a bit. And I wonder if it were actually taken in to consideration when allocating the villa. If a long walk to your Villa and doof doof music till 4am does not bother you, then this place is 100% for you! Going on other reviews, Villa's closer to reception the music is not much of an issue. But I cant personally comment on this. I would also like to add, they leave you alone, and during the day and early night until the music starts... it's so quiet, like you are the only ones there.

  10 out of 10 is not enough.

  My wife and I have just had the pleasure of staying at Maya Loka. Words cannot describe the outstanding level of service.All staff members need to be congratulated on making our experience so memorable particularly for offering to take us anywhere in Semanyak without hesitation.Our villa was tastefully decorated,great pool and nice breakfasts.Thankyou Wayan and everybody on your staff.Special mention to Oka for the safe and informative trip to Ubud.We highly recommend any travellers stay at this special place.We promise to visit again.Craig & Mary Canberra Australia.

  Stunning & Beautiful Villa

  We were originally staying for 7 nights but decided to extend our stay to16 nights and mainly because of the staff, theyre just friendly, super helpful and made our stay so much better. Villa 5 We were picked up from the airport and greeted by Oka who gave us a nice refreshing cold towel, perfect for the humidity that hits you as you exit. We were greeted by smiley friendly faces on arrival to Maya loka, more refreshing towels were provided along with a nice cold drink. As the doors opened to the Villa, I was in awe! The infinity pool so inviting, the outdoor area so stunning and on top it, was very private. It was like youre on a deserted island with a bunch of great staff who were friends. The bedroom was perfect for our stay, had netting to keep you protected from bugs at night and the team provide you new coils daily and spray your room daily. The wet season, we love it. Barely rained during the days, was mostly at night, it was so peaceful, the storms here sound awesome! The food is great here, so on the lazy days we didnt want to go out we ordered in, food was great. You get to choose what you want for breakfast daily from a list they provide, great options. The villa is located in a great quiet location, though only a few min away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. We wanted to thank a few staff personally, Wayan, your smile and cheer light up the room, we loved being greeted by you and seeing you, thank you for looking after us so gracefully. Oka, thanks for taking us to delicious eateries and chauffeuring us around when needed, we learnt a lot about Bali by just talking to you. Yogi 1, thanks for the small chats, room service and all that you done for us. Yogi 2, thank you for also helping us with our requests, such as fixing the tv, room service and taking us late at night to help us find our ATM card we left at Seminyak square, what a service! And thanks to all the other staff that provided us with their service, not forgetting, the friendly hardworking men in green, you all do such a great job keeping the grounds clean and are always respectful to your guests. We had such an amazing time here and will highly recommend this Villa to everybody. Well definitely be staying here when we visit Bali again.
