big rooms, big noiseHaving been messed around over New Years by the Rainforest Inn, the only hotel I could book was the May I Inn. The rooms are quite big and reasonably comfortable however there is very little sound proofing from the nearby road. It is not a major road however there is enough traffic during the night to keep you awake. Also the reception area is near the ground floor rooms so any chatter in the morning is enough to wake you up. Staff were friendly and the tour desk lady was chatty even though we didnt need tour due to own transport. Great location near night bazaar but not much more than that.

Bad experienceNot recommended. Bad hospitality. The room was very low class, u can find a lot batter for the same price a few minutes away. Close to a laod road. The ac didn't work well. The bed itself was old and springs came out. Not comfortable at all. We checked in for 2 days and wanted to leave after one night and they didn't give a refund for our payment. They just dont really care about returning clients. Woke up after a terrible night with back and neck pain.

Weekend visit. This hotel is pretty good its clean, cheap, and close to the markets. The rooms are clean, tv & tea facilities and room ckeaned daily. Staff are not great at English, but at times I felt like they just pretended they could speak it lol. There is a nice little patio type chillout garden type bit to sit downstairs but its very noisey as its almost on the street. And the mosquitoes are heaving around there so I avoided it. Chiang Mai itself is very lovely & green with lots to do. I was only there a few days, but managed to see some beautiful temples via a scooter that I hired along the street from the hotel. Also the night markets & street foods are great! There was so much more to see but I didn't have the time. I will go back again and I would stay at this hotel again. However, I did enjoy my stay here and would go back!

Stop offHad a long weekend here after travelling up from koh chang Island. The rooms are clean no issues, loads of mossie tho. The staff keot them self to them self. It's on a side street an the the is a little Patio out front just before the road that you can sit with a coffee. It can be very noisy as scooter fly up and down the street. Cheap and chearful for a few days. Would go back again az it is central to the night markets etc.
