  Friendly hotel with generous rooms and great food in the middle of this gorgeous town in the Tirol in Austria.

  I am so glad that we booked to stay here. We had 2 rooms for our family and both were extremely large allowing us lots of room for all of our ski gear and also chairs and a table to play games at the end of the day. From the moment that we arrived we were made welcome by all of the staff that we met and given an evening meal despite arriving late. The breakfast was very varied and we all enjoyed the cereals, bread, cheeses and meats - and nutella. We had a choice of meals each night and the soups were all amazing. As well as the soups there was salad then a hot main course and a dessert. There is a boot room in the hotel but we left our boots and skis at the hire centre for no cost so the 10 minute walk to the slopes was not a problem and there were loads of lovely shops to visit on the way back in the evening. Everyone who works in the hotel was friendly and helpful. I would recommend Gasthof Mauth without reservation.

  Great Restaurant With Great Service

  Visited twice during a recent ski vacation both times for dinner. Our server was extremely accommodating. We were pleased to learn that he would allow us to order their exceptional mushroom Schwammerl" sauce with our traditional schnitzel selection. Perfect!

  Nice hotel but awful food

  Such a lovely hotel in a good spot but unfortunately the food let it down whilst stay on a half board basis. Everything was too salty. Not much variation from pork! Breakfast was okay. Staff were nice.

  Fabulous Food

  We went for our evening meal - great choice - restaurant is lovely inside and the staff are helpful and friendly. The menu has a great choice of food and drink. Our meal was delicious - Tirolean food - we had a lovely evening and would thoroughly recommend going to eat here Thank you Gasthof Mauth

  Horrific Food and Service

  As a single traveller, I stayed here for 1 week. It is the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Although the wood/chalet appearance is appeasing, the service received was horrific. Due to be a woman on my own, I was not allowed to eat in the main dining room with the other guests. I was shouted at and told to move by the obnoxious waitress who kept on saying 'these are my friends, you must sit out there.' I was treated as if I was less than a second class citizen. The food itself, was diabolic inclusive of boiled cabbage and some indiscriminate pork. The room was adequate but again, not somewhere you could stay in for any length of time. Beware, should there be any event going on in the main square then you are not going to get any sleep.
