  Basic roadside motel. Quite a few quirks - loud fridge, curtain does not cover window, lights don't all work, shower but a dribble, TV does not show HD channels and mysterious stains on the douvet. There was a face washer hanging in the shower, presumably from the previous occupants, and we found a glass of pink milk in the freezer. But, it was cheap and convenient for day trips to the national park. It is also a reasonable walk into town on a paved path.

  Tired looking

  This motel needs a facelift. The mattress was soft and needed replacing. TV had no ABC channels. Limited lighting in the main room. Strong smell in the room. Only two pillows but after request we were given two more.

  A little tired but great pizza!

  The room was a bit tired but comfy and so dark that we slept in! Neat, clean and well priced but on the edge of town. They offered a few selections for dinner aside from the pizza made on the premises and delivered to our room. It was delicious! Social distancing rules in place and sanitiser available at check-in.

  Friendly

  Friendly staff, clean room and a nice pool to jump into after a hot day in the Warrumbungles. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open during our stay but its a stroll (or very short drive) into the centre of town.

  Gone to the dogs sadly

  Oh my gosh, where to start. I'll make it brief. Unfortunately, we were desperate as we'd been driving all day and we couldn't get a room anywhere else. We arrived to find knee high grass around the pool and an extremely unkempt property. Upon walking in the room we saw a mouse scurrying in the corner and rat sack on the counter next to the toaster! What more can I say. We called the manager at 830pm (granted, it was after hours), no response. Needless to say, we had to pull the bed sheets back to make sure there were no bed bugs because this place was far from clean and tidy which is all you really ask for when you just need a bed for the night. We did not sleep comfortably knowing how dirty it all is and couldn't even bring ourselves to have a cuppa before heading off for fear of catching something! Sure it's been tough times in the bush for business but there's not excuse for this. Sad and disappointing.
