  But also...

  I strictly recommend to stay this Japanese style hotel not only Japanese but also foreigner. This hotel has great history.In the early days of Meiji era,some of historical people(ex,Takamori Saigo,Shinsaku Takasugi etc) use the place to discuss future of Japan.There is a reference room of historical famous people who stayed or used this hotel.You can feel Japanese nostalgia in the place. Also this hotel has first grade facilities and meals(diner and breakfirst). Refer to following message. Room:Size is enough. Much of roos have only Futon the Japnese traditional bed instead of Western style bed.You may feel small.But some room have western style bed.So you can choice usual style. There is no non-smoking room.But you dont need to afraid of smoking smell.The room's deodorization is perfect,you can enjoy scent of Japanese style room(Igusa and Hinoki ,material woods and glasses of the room) . Bath and restroom:Bath and restroom are not same room.Restroom has toilet seat with bidet function and are cleaness. And there is a Hinoki batf(Bath-tab is made of Hinoki wood,you can feel woods smell). Food:You can take Japanese traditional dinner and breakfirst if you choice include dinner and breakfirst plan. I recommend to try tiger puffer (Tra-Fugu in Japanese) course if you can eat fish.Becase,tiger puffer is a speciality food in this region. Tips:There is a weak point that you dont use wifi in room.You can use it in only around hotels front desk.

  Very nice room and garden

  The ryokan is walking distance from Yudaonsen Stn if you have just a shoulder bag. Room is Japanese style, very comfortable n well appointed. Dont miss taking a walk in the garden which is quite beautiful. Dinner was rather meagre so u may have to choose your dinner option carefully. One bath has an indoor and outdoor; but the outdoor is small n fringes on the main road is rather noisy. The other bath is a large grotto style indoor bath; rather gloomy. Service was excellent. Overall an ok stay but rather expensive.

  Highly recommended for everyone esp Japanese history lovers

  The Japanese garden is so beautiful!! We stayed in a room on ground floor facing the garden. I think is the best onsen ryoken that I visited so far. Dinner was served in our room with a very professional lady sorry I forgot her namebut need to be careful when picking what to eat. As my travel companion does not eat fish, the meal that I picked was with quite a lot of fugu () dish.... which is a popular dish in the area. But he enjoyed the history part so much! Also a must to try "Ishinoyu" . It's also good location to go to the SL Yamaguchi train trip after checking out next morning. Will surely visit this ryoken again!

  Great Hospitality Ryokan

  Great Ryokan in Yuda Onsen. Located in the center of the city. Food is delicious with fresh ingredient from local cuisine, recommend to reservation both dinner and breakfast (Kaiseki Set) Location is in the heart of Yuda onsen. Room is great and clean. Onsen facility is clean and nice. Well quipped with all products that you need. What we love the most is service from all staff here. Defiantly great service mine. Real Omotenashi !!!!!
