    Do not go filthy

Where do I start. Just had our holiday in Rhodes got home last week. We booked this hotel. First impressions was not very welcome the place was nearly in darkness. (We arrived at 11.30pm ). Got into the room and it was disgusting. Filthy marks on the curtains. Big crack in the bathroom sink. Mould around the shower. I went with my 14yr old daughter she wouldn't shower it was that filthy. We were self catering there was nothing to cook with only glass cups and knives and forks. Sink was filthy. It is about 20-25min walk into faliriki town so carying water and food was terrible. There is no snack bar it's derelict. No bar to get a drink. The reception wanted 60 euro for air conditioning for the 10 nights we were there. Please don't go here look at the photos. This place should be shut down.

    DO NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL!

By far the worst hotel I have ever been to. Where do I begin... Me and my girlfriend arrived at the hotel late at night with our suitcases, checked in to a room on the second floor only to find there was no lift so had to carry them up the stairs. We then paid for air conditioning which took about 45 minutes to work as it was blowing hot air - which as you can imagine is not ideal in 35 degree heat. After a long day of travelling we decided to take a shower only to find there were no towels in the room and you had to hold the shower head yourself! Cleaners did not give us any clean bed sheets or towels for the full week, by day 3 we found other guests sharing our room - cockroaches started to make themselves at home crawling round the bathroom and sink area. The food was disgusting to say the least. Rock hard bread with slices of some sort of meat for breakfast and cold meatballs for supper. The pool area seemed good on the photos which is why we booked the hotel. These images must have been taken from a different hotel as we were greeted by a green swimming pool, broken sun loungers and grass which had not been cut in 3 years. The hotel 'shop' had a very limited selection of items to purchase which was not ideal as the nearest supermarket is a 20 minute walk. So overall a totally disgusting, poorly managed hotel. Faliraki is a brilliant place however, with a lot of good bars and restaurants and the locals are very friendly. Beaches are also very good.

    Big NO

I was there in august 2016. We arrived at 7 pm and they told us that the hotel was overbooked and took us to another hotel if I can name it like this in Ialysos, one hour distance. We were tired I was pregnant ....they gave us a horrible room...not to leave a dog there.....the next day we returned to Matina. They gave us a good room thanks to our guide. The food is very poor, the same every day. The beach is very faraway I would say 2 km. This was my experience at Matina...I would never return there
