Bad hotelWhen i book the holiday for my fiance and her daughter the touroperator said it was a 4* hotel . The conditions there they are for a maximum 3*. The food was terrible .The food reamained from the Dinner they save and try to cook something for breakfast. At dinner they are serving the cooked food durectly outside on the terace. The food had strange taste, to much salt and everiday almost the same food. Speak at reception but the management they dont make nothing. At the poolbar they had excessively high prices . They say that from the hotel you walk maximum 5 min to the beach. You walk through the building sites on an unpaved road and go down a hill a lot, not just 5 minutes as you are told from the reception. It's about 20-25 minutes. At the restaurant they have a very limited menu with very high prices, but the food is not very good. If you want to order a drink, you have very limited options and generally have only local beverages. The swimming pool has limited program until 8pm. This is not a normal thing because tourists can go on trips and in the evening when they return to the hotel they may want to relax at the pool. As a personal opinion, I dont recommend this hotel. You can chose this hotel ONLY if you have very limited options because is very far from EVERITHING.

The most awful experience we had in a hotelWe booked our holiday via Christian Tour at this hotel with around 3 months in advance just because they promoted it very well at the agency and they assured us that the hotel is renovated and all the bad reviews are not applicable anymore ( we were a group of 8 persons). Overall, the hotel is pretty small and seemed to be more like a family business, because the guy that cleans the pool or the grill is the same as the one that cooks or mows the grass. The worst thing at this hotel was the stuff, all of us felt so badly treated and I will give you some examples: 1. The waitress tried to fool us with the bill twice in a day, even if the prices were specified on the bills; 2. If you are not consuming expensive drinks from their bar they are not letting you to open the pool umbrellas, even if outside are 30+ degrees, practically they force you to consume or to leave; 3. There was no enough space for all the people in the hotel to eat so in one night we were left w/o table and we sat down at a table near the bar, at around 4-5 m from the buffet and due to the fact that we had a sea view from there they made us move the table in front of the bar( around 1-2 m); for me its still a mystery why they did that. 4. If we told them something they did not wanted to hear, they were making as they did not understand english or they were just ignoring and doing what they wanted, even if I told to the guy named Dimitri that this is not polite. 5. If we were eating dinner lets say, if we can call it like that, we had to pay even for the water and the waitress would have come to us when we had literally food in the mouth and asked us to pay her at the moment. The second worst part was the food: we paid for demi-pension thinking that we would have at least few options but actually there were like 5-6 trays of food, for which you had to wait at least 15 minutes to be changed if finished and the taste was horrible. Only in one night we had gyros and tasted good, in the others we took salad or ate at other restaurants. The breakfast was even worst, we ate only bread and butter for 7 days in a row and in the days when we got some cake we felt very lucky. The third part of our terrible experience was when we tried to go to the sea we saw in the pictures and walked by around 10 min. The hotel does not have a private beach as we understood from the pictures, or one at around 300 m. The closest one is at almost 30 min walk and when we asked at the reception about that they told that it was mentioned 300 m until the sea, from there to the beaches you had to walk extra. The only good parts at this hotel was the view and the cleaning lady who did a good job during our staying. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, the stuff should change their job - maybe at a security company because I felt like my chewing was counted. Horrible experience, very disappointed!

Lovely hotelI stayed with my fiancée 14 days in Matilda . Andreas prepared for us a very nice welcome box in the room. All the staff members made our holiday so special. Front desk had provided a free upgrade in a premium sea view room which was extremely comfortable. Vasilikos beach was a place that every guest has to visit. Highly recommended hotel - we will return soon !
