    Calamari delicious

    Matanzas offers a pleasant canal side outdoor dining patio with a view of the shrimp boats. You can pick full sun or have an umbrella on lower deck. Enjoyed the calamari. seating also available up top.

    Tuesday and Brandy suggested some awesome drinks for us while we were on vacation and waiting for a table. Great service and both were fun. Connie is an amazing hostess. Heath was our waiter and also very fun. We always stay at Matanzas and would never leave without at least 3 visits for dinner and/or beverages. Thank you.

    Good Hotel & Awesome Restaurant

    We stayed over night for a few days and also had our wedding party at the restaurant. Awesome staff, very helpfull when planning this event, fair pricing, a very nice owner. Going there for dinner and their famous cocktails is the perfect way to round up a nice day in FMB!

    We ARE returning!

    Such a perfect location for our family & another couple. It was such a great stay, we have booked our return trip in 2 weeks, with 2 more families! We loved that it's nestled away from busy Estero Blvd, yet SO close to walk anywhere really (especially some nice waterfront restaurants)! The waterfront view from our balcony cannot be beat!

    Great week in FMB

    We had booked an International trip and due to new COVID travel restrictions, cancelled at the last minute and began searching for a place in Florida to stay. We had eaten at Matanzas before and thoroughly enjoyed the meal but had never stayed here. We were able to book our own small cottage complete with cooktop, full size refrigerator, couch, and king sized bed. The room was clean and comfortable and we felt very comfortable with masks required in at check-in. They did not have daily cleaning service but when we asked for new towels and a replacement for a cracked pitcher, it was in our room when we returned from breakfast! The pool was nicely heated and very comfortable when we were there and the staff we dealt with were very friendly. We would recommend this place for anyone looking to avoid the crazy traffic in Fort Myers Beach as all of our favorite restaurants and the beach are less than 1 mile walk and it is on the FMB Tram line if you prefer not to walk.
