DisappointingThis was the least enjoyable accommodation of our trip to Puglia. Maseria is situated very close to the motorway and whatever people say, it is noisy. You can hear the traffic everywhere, but especially around the pool which is where you would normally come and relax. The pool had a very heavy smell of chlorine and although we are keen swimmers, we did not use it. The room and bathroom were very basic. The room fridge was particular noisy and we had to switch it off to be able to sleep. When we stayed the wedding was on which resulted in a lot of noise. There is no restaurant and you have to drive into Monopoli, where a parking space is very hard to find in the evenings. Breakfast was disappointing and very limited in choice, with the only hot dishes being boiled eggs. On one accession a female receptionist was shouting at the top of her voice at a male colleague in front of the guest, which made us feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place.

Gorgeous location - It's like living a dreamI booked all the venue rooms for a long weekend for my family and international friends flying to my wedding. The rooms are gorgeous as they have just been renovated: the shower is wide and beautiful and the bed is a king-size. The breakfast in the morning is the BEST I have ever had, better than any 5 stars hotel! Fresh cheese and cakes every morning! The swimming-pool area is lovely and very relaxing. All my guests were so happy that no one wanted to leave. My grandma was the most excited one. She kept saying: "It's like living a dream" and actually it really was!

Absolutely a beautiful placeWent to my nephews wedding here! Absolutely a beautiful place! Everything about it, staff, venue, food, accommodations, and the beautiful landscape. Highly recommend visiting and staying here! The rooms were not ready, and the venue located another place nearby, which was equally beautiful! They took care of everything, even the transportation to get us to and from the hotel. We are going back!

Just averageMyself and my partner stayed here in June as we were attending a friends wedding at another nearby wedding venue. We stayed for 7 nights in the superior suite. On arrival we were greeted at reception and told we were being upgraded free of charge to the suite which had a jacuzzi which was a lovely start to our trip. The room was lovely and although the terrace outside isnt private it was nice to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine listening to the music and sounds coming from the wedding that was going on. There is some motorway noise but not so much that is annoying and you cannot hear this once inside the room. Following morning we went down for breakfast which is continental and bacon/eggs can be made on request. Nice, strong coffee was good too! Language was a bit of an issue and although we knew some of the basics such as Ciao and Grazie some other more complex requests were a little hard to do with some members of the staff. This is by a complaint but maybe just brush up on your Italian to make things a little smoother. Google translate definitely helped a lot. Pool are was lovely and calm, room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed linen provided daily also. Good WiFi connection in the room. A few issues left us feeling a little disappointed with the venue however... Being just a hotel guest rather than a wedding guest sometime made us feel like second rate customers. We were told on numerous occasions that we had to park our car up the dirt road that goes round the back of the building which is not always shaded. The car park out front which you can find a shaded spot was reserved strictly for wedding guests only. I feel that when paying as much as we did we should be treated equally as the wedding guests are. We also felt on numerous occasions that we were bothering the staff, little things such as asking for a drink while we chilled at the pool seemed to be a difficult task for them as the bar is only really open when there is a wedding so someone had to go find someone else that could serve us. This made us not want to ask for anymore drinks which is a shame. Reservations have to be made if you want lunch and the menu is quite limited and a little overpriced. We ate in Monopoli for the majority of our trip which is a 10 minute drive away. We requested taxi service for this on a few of the nights so we could both enjoy some wine. The taxi was a bit of a challenge as taxis are hard to come by it seems so we were booked an executive service by the hotel which was not exactly cheap, 15 there and 20 return for some reason. We had to arrange to meet the driver at the same spot he dropped us. On our last night the taxi simply did not arrive and staff seemed disinterested so we had to drive. We then get to our last day... we did ask on arrival if it would be possible to have late check out and we would be willing to pay for this as we do not fly until the evening. We were told this would be unavailable and that we could use the shower by the pool. This didnt really seem feasible as we were also told that shampoo and shower gel could not be used at this shower. We asked again on our last day but again we were refused being told that the hotel was fully booked out for a wedding and our room would be cleaned. I totally understand this but most hotels we have stayed in the past do have a courtesy room to shower etc be it complimentary or at a cost. I think it would be worth Torrepietra investing in one as this really was quite an inconvenience. If you plan on relaxing by the pool or making a trip to one of the beaches I would advise that you take a beach towel. Beach towels are available on request but we were charged 10 for the week and we were told hold on to them as we would be charged again if we asked to swap them for fresh ones. Not that this is a lot of money but again, a place that boasts of its quality we feel this should be complimentary. All in all we have left feeling a little disappointed and would not return to this Masseria if we were to visit Puglia again.
