Beautiful place but with some points for improvementThis is a beautiful and dreamy place surrounded by olive and figs trees from where to explore the small surrounding towns a Salento. The rooms were amazing and spacious and a special mention goes to the extremely friendly and professional cleaning staff. The gardens and pool are beautiful. The restaurant is nice too. My friends and I had a great five days staying there but noticed some serious points for improvement: 1. Wifi only really works in the reception. There are always people there so if you have to do work during your holiday, this is not the place for you. 2. The breakfast is scarce and when we arrived past nine, a lot of the items were nearly finished. From a masseria you would expect more homemade local options. 3. The pool has closing times - in the afternoon for 2 hours and evenings around 6.30 pm. This is not great, especially not when travelling with a six year old. Moreover, we were often asked to leave earlier, because they needed to set up the pool area for private functions. 4. The masseria could really do with a terrace on which to have a drink in the evening. When coming back around 10-11 pm, the only option was to sit in front of our rooms looking at the parking space. 5. Dry cleaning seemed difficult the week of Ferragosto. Not good enough for a four star property. Idem for other services. Would be an even greater place if it was easy to get a massage or some other beauty treatments.

Superb quiet and relaxing hotelWe liked this Hotel so much we have decided to book our wedding there for next year ! the Hotel is quite remote so is nice and quiet with no noise other than nature, if you want to go anywhere you will need a hire car as it's very remote, but that's one of its selling points in my view, but still easy to get from the main roads. We have looked at all the rooms and even the standard ones are all very good quality, they are all big with modern bathrooms, and lots of space for clothes and luggage, including a stocked mini bar, with space for your own items if required. Most have outside terraces or seats to sit in, the pool is open from 9AM till 19:30 and is very clean and warm (and no longer closes like previous posters have said) and has a pool bar, you do have to sometimes go up to the main bar for a drink as the pool bar can be quite quiet sometimes. There is so much space to sit in, with lots of different areas to relax and even when it's full (like it was when we went) it never seems at all too busy. The restaurant does very good food and is reasonably priced, especially when considering guests get 20% off, and they have several staff who can speak fluent English if you struggle with the menu or anything else whilst there. At night many locals come to the restaurant for dinner, which is testament to the quality of it. Breakfast was good but is mainly of the continental variety which is fairly common in Italy. They do sometimes have events, but they never interfered with anything we needed or wanted to use during our stay. The Hotel and surrounding environment is so beautiful and is great to just relax in. If you do want to get out Gallipoli is only 10 min drive away and is very beautiful too. I would highly recommend this hotel for a lovely quiet break in stunning surroundings, excellent food, excellent staff and very nice clean rooms.

RustigNice place to stay, very quit and relaxing, good service, surrounded by olive trees. The only negative point is the breakfast, bit monotone if you stay there for a longer period, no fresh bread, no fresh juice, but good cappuccinos, too mush pastry for me

The best wedding ever !After staying at the Masseria last year, we booked to have our wedding in May of this year and it was truly the best ever! We arrived a few days before the wedding with our guests and were looked after so well by the staff. We had many fine meals at night and then the big day came. The staff all lined up and clapped my wife as she left the bridal suite, a small touch but one that was greatly appreciated. She was then led to the ceremony by the hotel team. We were married in the beautiful gardens of the hotel by the mayor of Sannicola in front of the Trulli house. This was followed by drinks and then the epic eating event started! The buffet starter was truly spectacular, we had so much choice - fish, seafood, cheeses, meats etc. We then had the pasta courses, one was even cooked in front of us by the very talented chef, and the second course - the food was exceptional. Prior to the wedding we had planned the day with Fillippo, the hotel manager and Barbara, the Events Director. Considering we were planning this in another country and in a different language, the hotel made this so easy for us. The hotel is used to planning and holding big events and this was evident in the logistics and attention to detail on the day. There were so many small touches that Fillipo and his staff did to make the day so special, from the bridal flowers to the table decorations, menu cards, honeysuckle wound through the olive trees and hanging decorations. We had seen previous events when we stayed before so completely trusted Filippo and his team to make many of the decisions on these items - and we were so pleased we did as we wouldnt have been able to deliver such a beautiful setting without their input. Not only did they make the day itself so special but they also helped us with the legal planning and even drove us to the town hall on one occasion! Special thanks to Fillipo and Barbara for the expert wedding planning and organisation, the head chef who prepared some spectacular meals and was so keen to please and recommend changes for our english pallete. The restaurant manager and his staff were so friendly, professional and efficient - even before the wedding they were great. The whole experience was incredible and their expert organisation made for a very stress-free day. Our guests were so impressed with the hotel and wedding and haven't stopped talking about it! We are still pinching ourselves that this was our wedding, it was absolutely perfect. If you are thinking of a wedding or holiday here, then go for it! Im really not sure you can better this place. As well as the hotel and location being so beautiful, the staffs attentiveness and attention to detail and willingness to please make this place so special. They even sourced a wheelchair for the mother of the bride at short notice, helped us deliver welcome bags to our guests rooms and went to Gallipoli to pay a parking fine on behalf of another guest. These are just a few examples of how they go the extra mile without a second thought. We really cannot thank them enough for a truly special day in a marvellous location.

Nice hotel but with room for improvementThe hotel is beautifully located in a beautiful place surrounded by olive trees and lovely plants. The rooms are lovely but be warned the restaurant is very expensive and the pool can be noisy with naff music. However on balance it was an enjoyable experience and great if you want to get away from it all. Be warned it is hard to find on google maps and it helps alot if you speak Italian. Very few Brits there.
