Great Cookery Vacation and Lovely ServiceI loved this hotel from the start. Here I spent last October a weeklong cookery holiday run by a German Tour Operator specialized in gastronomic stays in Italy, Toscana Tours. We were a nice lovely group of 32 people differently aged. The landmark, unique to Puglia, is a historic fortified farmhouse dating back to Middle Age, wisely restored, with two large courtyards, a sixteenth-century tower and a small church. Most of the rooms have cross vault or barrel vault ceilings, walls in pastel shades and white, sections of exposed rock, and the floor in famous Lecce stone. The Masseria is surrounded by an extensive and unspoilt pine forest and set in one of most beautiful and charming valley landscapes of the region. The surrounding area is also rich in centenarian olive trees, and fragrant wild vegetation, edged by characteristic dry stone walls. During our stay we had the opportunity to do excursions into the pine forest and experience rare floral specimens such as wild orchids. At Masseria Pizzo Falcone we also got the opportunity to taste best regional specialties and discover traditional and authentic flavors thanks to daily abundant breakfast and dinners. A large pool area with perfectly clean, sparkling outdoor pool was available for guests use in the oldest part of the building all the time. Maurizio, the owner, Giada, Alessandro and all the staff were absoultely lovely, professional and tryed to satisfy all our requests, always with smile. I was so happy to have been there and live a great, amazingly unique Puglia experience.

Country stayFirst of all, the name of the town "Supersano", what a name. When we looked at a place to stay while driving between Gallipoli and Lecce the name stood out right away. The Masseria is a lovely restored farmhouse. The surrounding areas are lovely, the rooms are a bit bare but clean. Lovely breakfast in the old courtyard. If you think of it as a luxury break you'd be in the wrong place, if you need a quaint old place to spend the night on a driving holiday in Puglia, this is the ticket.

Good hotel but dishonest staff and rude, impolite owner. We had to shorten our stay with one night due to a change in flight time from Bari airport. When we informered the reception about this, they agreed. However, when checking out, the night was charged after all without possibility to come to an agreement (whereby we were flexible to pay part of the sum). The fact that nobody is able to express themselves in decent English or French makes it even more difficult. We were really disappointed about the rude and impolite way we were threathed as a guest & customer. We had dinner once in the hotel and were not impressed. For the price paid, there are better places in the area. Taking everything into account, we will definitely not come back and cannot recommend.

BeautifulLoved this hotel from the moment we arrived. We initially booked for one night but stayed for four nights as we didnt want to leave. The Massseria is a beautifully restored farmhouse with two large courtyards, a small chapel and surrounded by pine forest and oranges groves. It has a large sparkling outdoor pool. The rooms were spacious and were decorated with lovely furniture with modern bathrooms but still retaining sections of exposed stone and vaulted ceilings and stone floors. Rooms were serviced daily and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and abundant with an extensive choices of sweet and savoury pastries baked fresh daily, fruit, coffee, juices. Dinner was also delicious with local specialties served. The location of perfect and we used it as a base to explore the surrounding area. Maurizio, the owner and all the staff were absolutely lovely, professional and service was excellent. We were so happy to have stayed there and enjoy a unique Puglia experience and have no hesitation to recommend Masseria Pizzaalcone.

Beautiful, quiet and calm massiariaWe stayed there for 3 nights and loved every single minute! Such a beautiful and well-kept Massaria! Bellissima!! We didn't find the place with the navigation system but once in Supersano, there were loads of signs so well indicated. The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere and the road to it (or one of them) was a bit bumpy and shaky - countryside - but that's also the beauty of the place: if you look for quietness and calm, you will find it there! The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast place was also amazing - outside and we enjoyed taking it there in this beautiful location. Some mornings, some fruit or other things were already finished and not replenished even though we were earlier there then th previous place... Our room, called Salvia, was nice and OK size for our staying. The bathroom could have been a bit bigger but I guess that considering this building some renovation options are limited. All in all I could easily go back there next time I'm in Puglia.
