  Idyllic masseria in vigna

  Great place to relax in Puglia. Beautiful set up in a vineyard. You are a little far away but it is worth it. Not much to see in Maruggio. The staffs are very nice . They will feel you at home. The food is realy good and the terrasse is stunning. Highly recommended if you do not mind driving

  Peaceful country near the coast

  Lovely country setting, up against vineyards. Room was spacious, clean, and nicely designed. Huge shower. No alcohol in the minibar. Nice little patio outside the room to look into nature. The two rows of rooms are a few minutes walk from the main building. There, you have a couple of friendly staff on hand. There's a great restaurant that offers a few options each night, good spritzes, and good local wine. It was warm so we ate out on a lovely large terrace overlooking the grounds. Breakfast is nice too, a big spread of local bread, fruit, jams, etc. It's not very wine-centric, but a lovely retreat. A few minutes' drive from the coast and a decent beach club (Posto 9).

  Nice Escape

  After some hectic city seeing in Monopoli, Molfetta, Trani and Polignano a Mare, it was great to go east and enjoy two nights at the very comfortable Le Fabriche near Maruggio. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the farm/vineyard location made for a great opportunity to catch our breath. Forays to Otranto, and then down to Santa Maria di Leuca were breathtaking, with the return to our 'oasis' just right. dinner at the Masseria on the first night was so good, that we returned the following evening. Service throughout was excellent.

  Strong nicotine odor in the suite!

  Masserie Le Fabriche was supposed to be our final highlight of our 12 days-trip through Puglia. It turned out to be a complete disaster. We booked the suite, which is located nicely with a view over the wine field. First thing we noticed was that all the furniture on the terrace on the backside of the Masseria, where our suite was located, was covered under plastic sheets. It wasn't welcoming at all. As soon as we entered the room we noticed a very very strong nicotine odor - there previous guest must have lived in the suite for a while, smoking inside the suite a lot. You know that smell of old nicotine, right? Imagine this in combination with cleaning staff, trying to cover the smell with a "nice" room fragrance! Doesn't matter if you are a smoker or a non-smoker, this is absolutely unacceptable! As a "solution" the hotel offered us one of the other rooms, which are not as nice as the suite at all. And they even "offered" us these rooms for a higher price compared with their online price??? We didn't get our deposit back - even after asking them to turn the deposit amount into a voucher for their restaurant. No - not possible. Unfortunately very unprofessional and that is not the way you should treat unhappy customers that were trying to find a solution even though that was clearly a faux-pas on the Masserias side.

  Don't stay here

  The place is weird, like a deserted hotel. The furniture you see in the pictures is not even there, the golf cart is broken, trash cans on the side of the hotel piling up. The receptionist speaks no english and the room are all on the parking like a trailer park. I also hate the decor...New and tacky.
