  Lovely owners make you love the place!

  I have spent 2 night in the Masseria Carignani during August. The 3 splendind owners, 3 sisters, are the most welcoming person I have ever met. It is like going at their place, they want you really to feel confortable and spoiled. When we arrived, they offered us the breakfast even if not included in our fare for that day and they did't make us paid the water we took from the minibar!! The Masseria itself is very nice, simple, not fully restructured and completely surraunded by green and countryside. The rooms have the typical ceiling like a dome done by ancient stones. The room itself is quite simple, not really decorated. We just found a bit too basic the bathroom, view the price of the hotel ( not so expensive, but not cheap either): like hairdresser not strong enough for girls' hairs, towel hangers not so functionals, toilet not well working ( the water flou was not strong enough to clean it perfectly). The minibar was a tiny one. The nice thing is that we had 2 doors, one for the entrance, and the second on an internal terrace where you could sunbathe. There is no swimming pool in the hotel, but they plan to add it for next year. The breakfast is at 8:30 since the local "pastry stores" open late, there are many different types of local traditional sweets like "Pasticciotti" that are very good. Fresh fruits from their garden and one of the best coffee I haver had, from a local producer Quarta. Unfortunately, I have to say that sometimes the details counts...and the breakfast loses a lot of points due to the orange juices....they were commercial ones!!!I couldn't beleive it, being in Italy and especially in the south getting few oranges mustn't be so difficult! The location, Tuglie, is just perfect!!We were outside the city on a main road in the middle of the countryside and in max 30 minuts you can be anywhere from there! Anyways, overall i definetively reccomend the place. There is no other hotel where you feel really welcome!!!!

  Very nice place and friendly people

  We spent one week in Masseria Carignani and enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is welcoming and guests feel pleasantly spoiled by the friendly owners. The building is restored beautifully and the breakfast on the terrace with a view on the orange grove is phantastic. The room was large, clean with all you need for a pleasant stay. We will come back!

  Hermoso lugar de descanso

  Una excelente opción para descanso, nos atendieron como si fuésemos de la familia. Excelente limpieza, un lugar muy cuidado. Excelentes vistas y decoración impecable. Un lugar tranquilo, acogedor, con gente amable, donde pasar un lindo momento en familia o pareja. Muy cerca de lugares muy interesantes para conocer (e.g. Gallipoli).

  This is a gem

  Don't tell anyone about this. Lets keep it as a secret. This gem should not be for everyone. On the other hand, I really would like the owner to continue, so go there. Very kind and friendly atmosphere. Nice rooms. Good breakfast, not just an ordinary classical Italian with sweets. Yoy will find organic grown fruits from the garden, their own almonds, bread and all the other stuff. Nice setting. If I have a wish it would be that there will be a bar there in the future and the possibility to get some snack and apperitivo. However, apart from that, this is a haven. Easy to reach beaches, villages and cities, with restaurants and bars. An extra plus for the friendly staff. You really feel welcomed.

  A magical place

  If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing staying during your trip to Salento, this is the right place for you. The nearby towns can get a little hectic and busy in Summer, like the unmissable Gallipoli, but this place is something far from that. The historical mansion is surrounded by fields of olive trees, fig trees, plum trees, fruits that you'll likely find here on your breakfast table, as well as lovingly home-made crafted cakes and typical sweets from this region. This place is truly magic, the rooms are decorated simply in a mediterranean style, eco friendly cosmetic products will be provided in harmony with the environment and the owners really go out of their way to make sure you have a flawless and unforgettable experience here. My family has been visiting this place regularly and I recently went back after a few years, pleased to see the standards and the effort put by the owners to secure you have a beautiful time here have remained as high as they were at the beginning. I sincerely cannot recommend this place enough.
