Great stayThe place has all the basic facilities you would expect, hot shower, air conditioning, small locker, wifi etc. The location is great as you're pretty much in the city centre. It's also great if you're diving as Jesselton point is only 15min away by walking. One thing to note is that lockers are fairly small, so you can only keep a limited number of valuables. Also, you can't lock your room. Overall great stay for budget travelling.

Great base for exploring KKI stayed at Masada at the start of my trip through Sabah and at the end. Relaxed place to meet people. Breakfast included was nice with very good coffee. Central location. Easy to get to downtown, shops, attractions etc. They have a variety of trips organized which I took advantage of. Rooms were clean and quiet. Whenever I asked for information or advice the staff were very helpful. I had a tricky schedule, with some travel off the beaten track so this was particularly valuable for me. Peter and all his staff went out of their way to make my stays enjoyable and it was a great base from which to explore Sabah.

OK for KKThe staff here were so friendly. The breakfast was typical for a hostel - toast, jam, one kind of fruit, one kind cereal, coffee and tea. Our room was fine but the walls were very thin. The shared bathrooms were pretty clean. The common area was okay but there was no window so it wasn't a place I wanted to hang out. The area around the hostel wasn't very nice but it was close to the market.

very goodfirst time stay here in masada and supposed to stay in a dorm with others female backpackers but since the all lower bed is full-fortunately hunter the owner is around there is kind to give me a lower bed in a whole new dorm alone :). the next day i rushed to the airport and i accidentally left my another phone on my bed where i slept. called the hostel crew regarding my phone and they were so kind enough to help me to send the phone via grab to airport! just in time before my departure! the best crew and service ever! thank you masada!
