  Very helpful staff.

  Rooms were basic, and in need of an update, but clean. Staff were very helpful. Walking distance to the historic centre of Vence. We arrived as a group and the staff were happy for us to enjoy a picnic dinner in the grounds. Sadly breakfast was not supplied. The charges to include breakfast were a little excessive. Lovely little bakery in Vence supplied us all with a really good breakfast before boarding the bus. Restaurant available. There was a parking spot for the bus which was a great plus.

  Booked for a week, stayed for three.

  While this hotel will not suit everyone, it really suited us. No glitz, no glamour just comfort and relaxation. It is owned and run by a delightful family who could not have done more to make our stay a pleasure.There is an old world provencal charm about the hotel, from its white tabelcloths to its pistou soup. The food was delicious and our waiter Willie, was the nicest, most competent waiter you could wish for. Our room was not very large but very clean and very comfortable. There was a large bath as well as shower. The hotel is on a major road so there is traffic noise during the day but it is completely quiet at night. . Access to the centre of the exquisite medieval town of Vence is literally about 300 metres via a very steep road at the side of the hotel. Fine if you have a car. We preferred the alternative walk up through the olive terrace at the back of the hotel - about 15 minutes from room to our daily breakfast ritual at a gorgeous patisserie in the old town. The hotel does a basic French breakfast which is minimal compared with many other countries. There is a good sized very clean pool and our room had a small balcony with views south toward Nice. I dont know if other rooms offered better views. Mas de Vence is a also pet-friendly hotel.

  Unexpected pleasures

  We came to France 2 days early and decided to stay in Vence. Very lucky for us, as the Hotel was fantastic as is the area. Very close to Nice in the hills. What a find, very clean, great position and the staff were fantastic. A family run hotel, lovely pool next to the restaurant and patio. Good home cooked food in a beautiful restaurant. Bedroom with balcony, light, clean and airy. Very reasonably priced and definitely worth a visit. We will be returning!

  The Lady owner and her son are great ....they are business oriented it s all about money

  I stayed there 8 days , food is great , service excellent , however air conditioning not great at all, i stayed there when my girlfriend came they charged me extra for her sleeping with me , it s a little miserable, when we have dinner , and drink , breakfast i spent close to 1000 euros there , all great except that extra fee for her one night stay. wifi not great at all

  lunch august

  Had lunch with some friends at the Mas by the pool with was very pleasant . Attentive staff and interesting food ,the place is run by the family and every effort is made to make you feel welcome. I shall certainly go back.
