  Bestest Motel in Queanbeyan.

  It was refreshing to arrive to a pleasant smile from Kay, one of the owners. What a great motel on the edge of Queanbeyan. I was offered a freshly renovated room. Very clean and tidy, good amenities like a good size kitchenette and medium size fridge/freezer. And an air conditioner that didnt rattle all night, bonus! The bed was super comfortable. The room was serviced to a high standard and attention to detail every day. As a no charge extra there was free Wifi too. I highly recommend staying here. Im sure it is the best motel in the area. Worth more than 5 .

  Excellent property and being renovated as well.

  We have stayed at this motel many times and have always found it great. The new owners are now in the process of renovating the rooms and they are doing an excellent job. I would recommend this property and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.

  Comfortable, well situated and friendly.

  Hamilton's renovations are complete - reception advised me it was the bottom floor done and the top floor is not to be renovated. I was on the top floor and, while it could certainly use some maintenance, it was comfortable and really all one needs. Maintenance would be for things like paint chips in the walls, all the taps in kitchen, bathroom and shower being almost impossibly tight and VERY cracked tiles in entry and bathroom. However, the bed was nice and firm, the kitchenette well stocked with all sorts of appliances and housekeeping refreshingly thorough. I'm not sure why others are complaining of noise from the street - I was at the Canberra Ave end of the motel on Friday and Saturday night and heard very little. Receptionist was very friendly, both at check-in and on the phone prior to arrival. Location is perfect for those travelling to both 'downtown' Queanbeyan and to Jerrabomberra or Canberra. 20 mins walk / 3 mins drive and you're in the heart of the former. The set up of the Standard Queen room really offered everything I needed - the couch, the breakfast table, etc, allowed me to both relax and work on the laptop when needed. Lots of bench space in the bathroom, too, so you can really set up to get ready for those nights out. Only real peeve for me was the lack of shelving in the wardrobe - hanging space only. I will happily stay here again.

  Exceeded expectations

  We stayed here in a family room during Christmas as our original plans were thrown into disarray due to ACT border closure. It far exceeded my expectations of a motel. All the downstairs rooms have been refurbed and were surprisingly spacious, light and comfortable. The new management has taken great care to provide a higher quality experience then what you expect of motels. We had a spacious main room with bedroom, sitting and dining area with kitchenette. Another bedroom had 2 single beds and a desk for the kids. Wardrobes in both areas. Bathroom was renovated and the entire room was very clean. A smart tv in each room which is fantastic as we could sign into Netflix and let the kids have some tv relaxing in their room while we were in the main room. Motel is very close to the Main Street with the plaza and cafes around. Also close to parks which was great for kids. It was very quiet on Christmas and boxing days. Very lovely and friendly owners, would recommend and would stay again.

  Excellent - highly recommended

  Gentleman at reception very polite and helpful, check-in couldn't have been easier. Really comfortable and very clean room - nothing fancy, which is a compliment rather than any sort of criticism. Everything necessary for a night's stay was there. Might seem an odd thing to mention but the towels were the best I've encountered at any motel anywhere - large, thick and fluffy rather than the wafer-thin glorified hand towels so many places pass off as bath towels. Proper shower with good water pressure, too. Kitchenette well stocked with the normal items as well as washing-up facilities - another thing I've rarely (if ever) encountered at other motels. Tharwa Rd is pretty busy but there were no issues with noise and I didn't hear anything from the neighbouring room either. The only issue was parking - the location doesn't offer much space and spaces are oddly arranged and some are difficult to access. Not much they can do about that, unfortunately. Overall, very highly recommended. I'll be staying here again.
