    a countryside heaven

the place is nice, a family like guesthouse. the room are clean and nice, but in a countryside manner. you have all the modern facilities, but not the city, modern, design. the room is confortable and big, having wooden shutters. that way you can sleep till late in the morning. even if in France they go to sleep early, the owner waited for us till almost midnight. he simply gave us the key, without all the formalities for check in, considering it is more important to have a good night sleep then making papers. the breakfast was great, served outside, on the terace with all the guests eating at the same family table. nice manner of socialising. the breakfast is home made and very tasty. the lady owner is a good information source for visinting tips. she to,ds us about goudron, a charming and incredible stone village. it is absolutely a must see in Provence. what i did not like was the fact that I booked a double room and received twin room, but they were that nice i decided not to draw their attention.

    Very nice accommodation, rough service

We liked very much the location, off center but close enough and in beautiful area - especially coming from Les Adrets route and close to FRejus center, port , beaches and the beautiful red rocks coast. The property is very well maintained, nice and clean with all you need in and around the room/appartment.The swimming pool is great. We met very nice guests from different European coutries. Lowlights side: Breafast is just Ok, with no excess of originality nor generosity.... Wifi is not stable or only in the central area. the pool is on the road but not too noisy. The owners seemed very nice on the phone but somehow appeared to be tough and even rough, seemed to be in bad mood since we arrived,,, . Lots of smoking also... They got mad at us when by mistake one of the kids left the appartment door open together with air conditionning and by bad luck, the fridge door coudl not close very well, not by our fault. . They came to check on us with a very unfriendly attitude. Overall made us feel very uncomfortable. Last bitter taste: It was written on the room leaflet that it is possible to stay and enjoy the property after room release, and we did notified them. Yet, they did not appreciate that at all and when I came to say good bye and asked for the receipt - that we did not get - they wanted to charge us for the 3 hours we stayed at the pool - while there was no rush or crowd anywhere in the property . In brief: a nice place, but cannot garantee a friendly service.... They seem to be angry , or having personal problems or specific affinities only with some specific returning guests.

Nice, quiet and well run establishment

We had a nice appartment, well equiped and comfortable. Bus stops outside the gate and only takes 10 minutes to the old town for 1.10. Local Spar 5 mins walk away and a great Pizza Restaurant 2 mins from the site. You need to have some plan to deal with the mosquiotes as they are very much in abundance, the prescence of the fish tank in the garden probably adds to their activity.

    Great value

Lovely quaint, little hotel in a beautiful town. Quiet with a very nice and safe pool. The owners are extremely helpful. The rooms were spotless. We stayed there en route to our campsite. It is a great place to unwind after an early flight to Nice and a day of sight-seeing around the port of St Raphael. It is not a large corporate concrete block. It has character. It has great management. And it is great value.

    Amazing

Two of the nicest hosts one could ever meet !! The accommodation and surroundings were great with the owners having great care and respect for their property. The rooms(we saw a number of them) were a bit dark , being on the ground floor, but in the summer this would make the rooms cooler, and you'd sit outside the rooms anyway. There was a covered and open terrace outside most of the rooms, spacious covered parking and a beautiful maintained 10 metre pool with transats and sunshades at the top end of the site. The breakfast room was great , there was even a large table where we all ate breakfast together, communicating mostly in French, but with other languages thrown in. Breakfast was varied, many items were home made, all in all very good value. A special word for the hosts Cathy and Christien, they were wonderful. Cathy speaks English (and wants to learn more, so English speakers please book in!!) and Christien (whilst not speaking English) always has a smile on his face, and ever ready to help. There was a good local restaurant L'Instant approx. 300 metres away, a good quality take away Pizzeria 50 metres and a Spar supermarket and other small shops 300 metres. 3km into the old part of Frejus On market days, (Wednesday and Saturday) park in the free parking just before you arrive at the town centre. Access to the local beaches is easy for driving. So Mas Aurelia is well located, with perfect welcoming hosts and good accommodation. Definitely 5 out of 5 from us
