  Un hotel casi perfecto, esta situado muy cerca del servicio de ferrys para crucar a la isla, tiene un pequeño muelle, sauna y spa, una buena terraza, el personal es amable, el desayuno bastante completo y las habitaciones comodas y funcionales,

  Nice but overrated hotel with excellent restaurant

  I stayed a week at Havshotell for business. Small standard room in the older part of the hotel, upper floor with very low ceiling. Two small single beds combined, slipping away from each other during the night. The air condition was very loud, but I switched it off as it was possible to open the window and get fresh air instead (big plus during Covid). The room set-up was very basic - Im used to get more for less money in Sweden. A basket with bottles and snacks on the table was called minibar, incl. cava and beer, but no fridge in the room to cool it. No electric cattle to prepare coffee and tea, which is in Sweden standard with 4 stars. Cleanliness in the room was ok. A big plus for the excellent restaurant, with nice breakfast selection served at the table on large plates during Covid and wonderful dinner at Ottos restaurant. I didnt use the spa and pool area due to the pandemic, but it was open. The hotel has also conference rooms, during my stay it seemed to be fully booked for meetings.

  Harbourviews and seafood

  Nestled in the posh village of Marstrand, its probably best visited off season to avoid massive crowds. Lobsterfishing starts late September and combining a stay with a lobsterfishingtrip is memorable!! The spa is big, clean and affords a dip in the ocean, regardless of weather. Youll be allocated a 3 hourslot, and I suggest the 8-11 am when the spa is very quiet! Rooms are not maritime, rather concrete, minimalistic with warm touches. Beds are nice and a deluxeroom will have you face the harbour. Breakfast i excellent, served on personal trays with homebaked bread, coldcuts and eggs. Glutenfree option good as well! The restaurant is excellent, and their seafood topnotch! In the surroundings you can hike out on the cliffs by rhe ocean, somewhat demanding but beautiful or just ramble throught the cute village. A gym onsite is. Basic but functional and the hotel runs trendy yogaclasses free of charge.

  False marketing

  Through there webpage we booked a spa weekend and selected a spa pass on Saturday afternoon. After confirmation and payment done they came back and claimed this package was no longer available. Instead we were offered a spa slot early Sunday morning . Terrible customer experience.

  Very nice!

  It`s a wonderful place indeed. The spa is lovely, and the lady working there was most kind to us. The location and views of Marstrand is fantastic. Stroll around the fortress, enjoy the views! Very nice breakfast, and due to Corona, it was served by the table. Only little thing, was the fact that a cafe latte asked for during breakfast was charged for.
