  Fantastic Resort!

  Second time in HH but first time at this resort. What a great place! We enjoyed a 3 bedroom spacious unit and there was plenty of room for us and our friends for the week. Stayed the week between Christmas and New Years and to our surprise it was not that crowded. Enjoyed sunrise on the beach, beach yoga, and riding bikes there. Had great weather (a couple days in the 70s too!). Staff is very accommodating and communicate effectively via text. Outdoor pool felt almost as warm as the hot tub and the indoor pool was very warm as well. Amenities are many here including table tennis, shuffleboard, mini golf, horseshoes, etc. Even 3 separate fire pits to enjoy marshmallows and smores. Great biking trails all around the island and centrally located around restaurants and shopping. Resort is near the beach with a nice boardwalk to access it. A wonderful relaxing week. To top it all off I got a good deal here especially for the time of year. Big thank yous to Amber, Mahogany, and Ashlee! You all rock!!!

  Our happy place

  This was our first real vacation since the pandemic started. SurfWatch was definitely the right place to go. We've been owners there for over 10 years. Rosa welcomed us back with her usual warmth and I'm sure a smile under her mask. Our oceanfront villa provided glorious sunrise viewing from the living room. The furniture is showing some wear. We were confident in Marriott's guarantee of cleanliness of the villa. Signs about mask wearing were all around the resort. My favorite thing about SurfWatch is the short walk to that wide sandy beach.

  High Expectations Not Realized

  My husband and I hosted a9 day anniversary trip for us and 2 other family couples. I have been wanting to stay at Surfwatch for years as I expected it to be an elite property. Stayed at Monarch, Grande Ocean and Barony on Hilton Head and loved them. Everything about this stay was average. Location, grounds and amenities, The 3 bedroom villa was extremely damp and had water dripping at each doorway when it rained. The bedsheets gave a damp feel. Our location view was a tree which is no one's fault(just another letdown). With 3 couples and a resort that was not at all at capacity one of the couples was given a parking pass where employees park. There was no need for that at all. The day of checkout the elevator was out and we weren't notified. I called the front desk and they said yes it was out and had no idea when it would be ready. It was working when we checked out later in the day. We were scheduled to stay a 2nd week but when a room came available at Grande Ocean I jumped on it. I always like to give positive reviews but the rating of this property is too high.

  Delighted!

  Reception (Gabriella??) was efficient, searching out a room for us that was not on the first floor at my request. We had traded out a timeshare through Interval International and were delighted with this location. Our 3 br. Unit had full kitchen, 3 full baths, Service for 10 in the kitchen with all the requisite utensils and appliances. Master bedroom had a king bed, one bedroom had a queen and the third bedroom had two full beds. We were in the Tide Mark building with views of the ocean from a distance. The Ocean Dunes building is closest to the beach with most all units having full ocean views. We had end unit #5551 on the 5th floor. Great location! Once opened (it had been closed for renovations), there is a very cool beach bar with Caribbean punch drinks, burgers, and live entertainment.
