JAMÁS VINIERON A REPARARLO.

Avoid at all costsThis is our 10th vacation to GPS and likely our very LAST to this property. We saved points for a year to come here and when we checked in realized the room was not the one we wanted: it was a king hotel-like room. (We are a young family that needed the kitchen and w/d). I inquired immediately about PURCHASING a new room that was the 1 bdroom. I spent the next 90 mins being shuttled back and forth between reservations and the front desk each saying the other was responsible. I finally gave up and when we went to our assigned room it was dirty!!! Urine all over the toilet (see photo) for starters. Were told they would send a cleaning person but they never showed up. Elite status means nothing here and whatever inclination we had toward vacation club membership is a solid NO. Avoid.

Horrible experience!Extremely disappointed. I'm a bonvoy Gold Elite member and booked a night here using 37.500 points. Drove here from Orange County almost two hours because I've been stressed out and needed some relax time. Denise at the front desk helped me with the check in process, you could totally see she wasn't having a good time doing her job, whatever. She put me on room 1754, witch ended up being a ridiculous closet, so tiny, there was barely enough room for the bed, the stupid patio was 2 square foot and the kitchenette was nothing but a mini fridge and microwave, not even bottled water, my biggest concern was the view, literally the view was the parking lot and the back alleys overlooking the air conditionings of the building infront. I contacted the front desk right away to get a different room, with at least a view but they said they couldn't do anything and I would have to call bonvoy customer service since I booked using points. I called bonvoy and waited about 20 mi minutes in order to get a hold of someone, they spoke directly to the front desk, this time they offered a different room but I would have to pay extra money for it, what?, How come if I was just asking for a different room not an upgrade?. Waited and waited while bonvoy talked to the hotel because the front desk couldn't help me directly, so annoying, and then they just offered to cancel my room at no cost, I was so mad that I grab my stuff and left the room, went back to the front desk, drop the keys and left. Such a frustrating time, when I was here only to relax, what a nightmare, all day driving for nothing. Wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.

Obnoxious Covid Pool PoliciesWe desperately needed a relaxing weekend and rented a villa here with friends. I have travelled to several resorts since Covid hit and I have never seen a more obnoxious enforcement of policies. They gave us a big lecture going in about having to wear a mask at all times when not in the water, despite the fact that we are outdoors and the lounge chairs are over 6 feet apart. They were constantly patrolling and badgering guests...to the point where my friend was enjoying a cocktail and they told her that her mask needed to go up between each sip. So I can do outdoor dining with no mask at my table but I cant sit in a distanced lounger outdoors and enjoy a cocktail by the pool?!?! They took the cake when they called security on an old lady who was sitting alone with no one within 30 feet of her. Thanks for destroying any bit of normal we were trying to enjoy. Theres a way to practice safety practices without going overboard. We will NOT be back.

Trip I look forward to every year!Just finished a week long annual vacation here from Feb. 20-27th. I was notified with two emails prior to the trip which clearly stated all closures and COVID-19 restrictions at the property as long as you fully read the emails, and clicked on the appropriate link with latest State of California and Riverside County restrictions. Juan at the Front Desk checked me in, and was very friendly. Pre-Registration the week before was excellent, and got me in one of my preferred buildings. 2-bedroom suite was very clean, and only issue had to do with shower head in master suite. Just happened to check hallway next morning and spotted "Carlos" (Maintenance Worker) in hallway a couple of doors down. I grabbed his attention and explained issue with low performing showerhead. I even jokingly stated how much I liked one other particular brand of showerhead I have seen at many other Marriott properties over the years. Carlos was outstanding, and had a new showerhead installed within 2 hours, and lo and behold, it was the brand I really liked! Excellent showers for rest of week! Contacted maintenance three more times during week for change of towels, delivery of cascade for dishwasher, and minor issue of new batteries for wall safe. All calls were answered within 30 minutes, and a follow-up call by front desk to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Outstanding Service! Grounds were impeccable, and utilized the grills in between buildings one night for steaks. Unfortunate that restaurant, gym, and most other facilities were closed, but not unexpected. Many restaurants in Coachella valley were open that had outdoor seating, and of course, all open for take-out. Pool area was very nice, and yes, having to wear masks while in your seat with no one around you was an inconvenience, but not outrageous. You were allowed to sit at edge of pool with your legs in the water, and not have to wear a mask. There were good size crowds at pool each day I was there, and staff were always cleaning chairs and other items. Look forward to next years visit, and being able to use the driving range and restaurant, as their restaurant is very good. Somewhat surprised that restaurant didn't allow for outdoor dining, as they do have a few tables outside, but I guess they were erring on side of caution. Overall, a great stay at a beautiful resort.
