    A beautiful property the front desk people were amazing and so accommodating! Alex in the lobby bar is awesome, great personality and made the most amazing old fashion! My boyfriend and I had a great time hanging out and chatting with him! We will be back for sure!

    Excellent Choice For a Stay on the Riverfront

    First allow me to vent a little before I tell you what I enjoyed about this hotel. This was my first stay since elevating from Gold to Platinum status with Marriott. I was looking forward to enjoying the new benefits. There were none. My room was upgraded pretty much the same as a Gold member, just a better view. Somehow with 75 percent of the hotel having rooms with balconies, I managed to get one without. The view looked nice from what we could see through our dirty windows. One of the best benefits of Platinum status would be access to the concierge lounge which is understandably closed now due to the pandemic. In lieu, most properties used to provide breakfast at whatever venue serves it in the hotel. This property only gave me some extra points which is WAY less valuable. The number one attraction of this hotel is the staff. Everyone that we encountered was friendly and helpful. At the concierge desk Chris and Michael were exceptionally helpful providing us lots of recommendations of things to see and places to eat. The rooms and public areas were kept very clean. COVID guidelines were strictly adhered to throughout the hotel. We found our room comfortable and equipped with most of what we needed for our three day stay. There was no safe which is unusual for this caliber hotel and facial tissue seems in short supply (When we asked for some, they delivered more toilet paper. We gave up.). The hotel is a little out of the way in the East River area, making it a ten minute walk to the center of town. We liked this because it was quiet and the walk was a pleasant one along the river. The price could not be beat and we would stay there again next time we visit Savannah.

    GACE SPRING CONFERENCE 2021 | Marriot, Savannah, GA

    Michael, I just you to know that I was very pleased with the overhaul service of this location during my attendance to this event from March 2-5, 2021. I was especially pleased with the food servicing staff and chef. I have listed below some of the server's names I could remember. April Wanda Toni Ron Kieana Erica wade Kere Taj Johnathan Shaheed Kent Antonio Jimaine Shaq And Last but not least the Chef. The food was excellent. The presentation and service was second to none. Please let these folks know how well they did and keep up the great work.

    The staff were the best part of this hotel!

    Visited Savannah and stayed here. The room was clean with a nice view. Due to Covid you must request housekeeping 24 in advance. We wanted room service our first night and were told they had no runner so we had to pick up our food at the bar. Not a big deal and we got to meet Dawn. She was friendly, kind and well versed in Savannah suggestions. Tiffany at the front desk was also excellent. She was professional and notified us quickly that our room was ready. Now the disappointments. You must pay for internet in your room. Really??!!! We paid $30 per day for parking also. Its on the river walk but farther down, which we didnt mind but it is a hike to the busy areas. In all, I would not stay here again. I think there are other hotels that are a better value. Lastly, when we checked in on a Thursday, one of the lights in the lobby was flickering. The concierge was there. When we left on Sunday, the same light was flickering and the concierge was there as well. Details matter. Clearly Dawn and Tiffany understand that. The concierge? Not so much.

    Terrible customer service

    Please see the chat I had while staying in Savannah. We went out for a day excursion and came back to a room that was not cleaned. We had no idea that was the hotels policy or we wouldnt have stayed at the Marriott. And to not be informed at reservation time but instead to get the snarky response your Vanessa Quintard gave us (below) is a level of customer service I find totally unacceptable. No refund, no discount, no nothing except website said some amenities may be missing. The reason we paid extra to stay at the Marriott and not the Red Roof Inn was an expectation of superior service. And thats not what we received. Your COVID cleaning policy is not the issue. Not be notified of that policy at reservation time is an issue. Checking in using YOUR preferred method and not being notified of your cleaning policy at that time is a bigger issue. Bringing all of this to the attention of your on-site people and getting a snarky response is an even bigger issue. I would expect much more from Marriott, particularly for the price you charge.
